This Company Has GREAT Reviews For for Good good Reason (long review!)
I recently purchased the 1 QT premium quality bio char from Plantonix as a "refill" after having an absolutely fantastic experience with their garden bundle, and I'm thrilled with my purchase once again! Let's start with the size. The 1 QT container is perfectly sized for smaller gardening projects, amending individual pots, or supplementing larger mixes. It's easy to handle and store without taking up too much space. Ease of use couldn't be simpler. The bio char has a nice, granular texture that mixes easily into soil, coco coir, or other growing mediums. There's no dustiness or clumping, making it a breeze to incorporate into my gardening routine. (But I always recommend wearing a mask when using it) In terms of value for the money, I was already impressed with the inclusion of this high-quality bio char in the Plantonix garden bundle. That bundle, which included: 10 lbs of coco coir, a full gallon of worm castings, 8 QT of perlite, 1 lb each of kelp meal and neem seed meal, and 1 QT od Bio char was an incredible deal. Experiencing the quality of all those components, especially this bio char, made me a loyal customer. Now, purchasing this 1 QT refill feels like a continuation of that great value. Knowing the positive impact it has on my plants makes it worth every penny. The weight of the 1 QT container is surprisingly light, making it easy to pour and handle. This is a definite plus, especially when you're already dealing with bags of soil and other amendments. Finally, the moisture retention properties of this bio char are noticeable. Since incorporating it into my soil mixes (both from the initial bundle and now with this refill), I've observed that my soil stays consistently moist for longer, reducing the frequency of watering. This is a huge benefit, especially during warmer months, and has undoubtedly contributed to healthier and happier plants. My initial experience with Plantonix through their garden bundle was outstanding. Since then I purchased their Mycrogizine fungi powder and my transplants love it. The quality of every single component was top-notch, and I saw a significant improvement in the health and vigor of my plants. The bio char, in particular, stood out for its easy application and positive impact on soil structure and moisture retention. Because of that fantastic first impression and the continued quality I've experienced with this 1 QT bio char refill, I will gladly continue to purchase products from Plantonix. They clearly care about providing high-quality gardening supplies, and their customer service has been excellent. If you're looking for premium bio char or any other soil amendments, look no further than Plantonix! You won't be disappointed.

Healthy Soil, Happy Plants
I really like this perlite — the quality is great, and my plants seem to love it. The chunks are the right size, it mixes well into the soil, and it keeps everything airy and healthy. A solid product that does exactly what it should.

Great Perlite
Great perlite, but pricey. I made a few soils for propagation. One I mixed with vermiculite to start rooting from cuttings. It's working well. Another, I mixed equal parts perlite, potting soil, and coco coir to plant and propagate succulents. The third mixture I made was equal parts perlite, vermiculite and coco coir for baby plants. Perlite helps with moisture retention. It's super easy to use. This product has a low smell and dust content. I'm using so much perlite right now that I've ordered a 4 cubic ft bag. That is cost effective.

Best I’ve found on Amazon for the price
Best perlite for the money. I love adding this to a variety of different soil mixtures that I use for my houseplants. I also like to use it to mix in with sphagnum moss for added airflow since it is so fine. You can’t beat the value for the price. It’s the best I have found on Amazon so far. It is dusty though, as most perlite is. But I wouldn’t say it is excessively dusty. It may just seem that was since the pieces are a pretty small size.

Great for indoor houseplants - A little goes a long way.
I added a thick layer on top of my indoor house plants and started seeing new leaves within a week or two. For some of my other plants, I also mixed it in with the soil after repotting. I've seen the best results with my monstera deliciosa, zz plant, pileas, rubber trees. There was a slight improvement to my oxalis. Unfortunately I did not see much difference in my pothos, triostar stromanthe, and lemon lime maranta. It is odorless and easy to use. I do wish the bag wasn't so tall because it can make it a bit messy to dig your arm into the bag and scoop it out. I always do it over the sink to prevent any small bits from spilling on my counter (it's worm poop, after all!). Overall, the amount you get for the price is pretty reasonable for indoor houseplants. If you're using it for landscaping a large outdoor area, it could get very expensive.

A little bit goes a long way
My garden has improved 100% using this. The plant growth is amazing and fruiting is unbelievably fantastic. A little bit goes a long way. This product is a keeper!

quality product
slightly mixed between coarse and dust, if kept free from mold and rot infiltrating, can be reused as long as when used alone. personally, i have clumping sand for soil so i don't add it to my soil but i do mix my own seed start and potting soil and will substitute this when perlite is called for. perlite isn't necessary when you have this product, along with a compost and something like used coffee grinds to aerate the soil while breaking down.

This has worked very well for me for several years
One of the bargain brands of worm food I formerly got was so loaded with bug eggs that after I used it my apartment became a tiny insect farm. Fortunately I had planted Tiny Tim tomato plants and progressively the knats (or whatever those were) died off. One time when I purchased another of these I think it came with earthworm eggs as I used it and magically healthy and beneficial earthworms later appeared in the soil (much to my surprise.)
