Suspension for your knees!
My knees have been increasingly giving me gyp over the last few years, and after fitting several radiators a few weeks ago they were in absolute agony; I was walking around like Douglas Bader. "Must replace my knee pads, methinks!". The old ones weren't even a couple of years old, and although a decent brand, the foam's 'memory' was obviously knackered, as always happens. Looking for replacements, I come across these whilst Googling and although they're a little pricey compared with foam, I thought "Yeah, why not: because you're worth it!"What a revelation! Quality is very good, though they look odd to say the least, a bit like those rubber-web doormats you can get, and they're about twice as heavy as foam, but boy do they work! Even with the best foam pads, your knees can only take a few hours of abuse, but with these babies I can kneel all day in comfort, as they spread weight well and it doesn't feel like there are any pressure points. The other great thing is that unlike foam, you can leave them in your work trousers when you sling them in the washer, and the geodesic rubber construction means they let air through and the material dries quickly (for the same reason, this feature is also a boon when you've knelt in water whilst working). The manufacturer claims they will last for many, many, years without loss of efficiency, so they'll pay for themselves in the long run. You're only given one pair of knees, so spoil 'em! Get a pair!

Yes heavy for a pocket knee-pad but...
Compared to the usual foam pocket knee-pad these are absolute quality. For a start the knee is kind-of locked into position unlike the foam ones where your knee can still pivot on the point of contact on a hard floor. Also while kneeling the cushioning really feels good...so they do exactly everything the product manufactuers claim on their packaging.Yes, at first while wearing you notice the slight weight dangling in your ankles, and you may have to "gather" your trouser to align you pad to your knee, but this is actually a benefit, as it encourages you to take your time as you kneel. But once you are knees there is nothing better underneath them than Redbacks in my opinion.Ive had mine for over a year and i have forgotten they are there.Great product....washing machine engineer.

Clever pads and just what I kneeded
These are clever innovative pads that have made life a lot more comfortable for me.They are a bit heavy and bulky sometimes and I do need to occasionally adjust my trousers as I go to kneel down to get them in just the right spot but that's the fault of the trousers not the pads. Get them in the correct spot and they are super comfortable.

More comfortable than they look.
Wasn't sure what to make of these before I bought them and wondered why they were so much more expensive than the foam kneepads but thought i'd give them a try as my poor old knees have taken a battering over the years. They look odd when you open them and feel a bit hard when you hold/squash them with your hands, I thought i'd made a mistake and wasted my money until I put them into my overalls. When you use these as they are intended, as kneepads, you instantly feel how comfortable they are when you kneel down, even when you've knelt on small pieces of brick etc your knees feel protected and cushioned. Only time will tell how long they last but I'm glad I gave them a go.

Fantastically comfortable knee protection
You get what you pay for in this instance, the kneepads are a little expensive but are worth their cost for the comfort whilst using them, they are by far the best kneepads I've ever used, very comfortable, light weight, fit well into knee pockets and hold their shape which many kneepads fail after some time, usually most other pads become compacted from repeated compression from kneeling on them and they become increasingly uncomfortable but not with these Redbacks, they have retained their original shape and comfort so far...

they weigh a bit too much.
I am a plumber and I have been using the Redbacks Kneepads for a few months now and I find they are good on my knees and verry comfortable when I am kneeling on concreat or any serfice.I found the grid design exelint when it comes to ventelation, they stay cool and sirculate air verry well as to the cheeper common foam pads that makes me sweat a lot in warm rooms. The big draw back for me is they are to heavy,I have to were my belt verry tight and i can feel them waiging me down when I walk. And if you buy them I recomend you get a pair for every work trousers cose they are incredably hard to get into and out of the knee pockets becose of the size of them. Not a bad design, just wish they were a bit lighter and cheeper.

Very good
I am a Plumber and had used Snickers d30 kneepads for the last year or so and slowly started to have knee problems which i think has been caused by the d30's as they are so hard and have got harder. Since trying these my knees are better already and they are very comfortable to wear all day. They are also a lot lighter than i was expecting having read some of the reviews, i don't find them too heavy or difficult to fit in my work trousers. Overall very good knee pads just hope they last!

Pure Quality !! If you want to save your knees.
I had read about these kneepads, so I thought I would give them a try, since my older ones were past there sell by date.Money well spent, I have to admit. I won't be getting anything else. They are very comfortable to kneel on. I can't recommend them highly enough. My only criticism is that they are little heavier than most kneepads. After a while, you don't really notice them because you get used to it and the comfort trade off is well worth it.
