I have started using one of these for about a week now in my water bottle. It is so simple to use and the price comparable to others online is very reasonable. I did follow instructions and boiled them before the first use and plan to do that every couple of weeks. They are supposed to continue to purify my water and add minerals to it for about 3 months. So far i am happy with this purchase.

Followed the instructions and boiled the charcoal before use. One of the sticks broke into 3 pieces, but they still worked! I threw the sticks into my brita filter water dispenser and the water actually tastes like spring water now! Not sure if the sticks actually "clean" the water, so I'm going to continue using a brita filter. But this definitely helped with the taste. No more mineral-ly taste!

This is the second Time I ordered this product because I liked it very much at my first order.This time, one of them was broken into two—I don’t think it’s the seller’s fault—perhaps they got broken during the shipping and/or delivery. The item itself is still usable and works fine, but it would have been better if they came as their original shape.

These are AMAZING. I've seen people complain about their size but they are perfect for a water bottle and I use both for a whole gallon of water in my fridge and they work! I don't have a water filter in my apartment and the water tasted so gross before I got these. When I use these, the water tastes clean, crisp, and fresh! And I LOVE that these are compostable when no longer usable.

These are little, teeny tiny charcoal sticks! I bought these as an alternative to the Black + Blum filter as I hoped they were a better deal. Nope! Not unless you're looking to filter a very, very small water bottle. I'll keep them, but will definitely be ordering the Black + Blum filters in the future.

I bought these trying to live a bit more sustainable and didn't have high hopes for their filtering capabilities. Where I live we are on well water that has a strong taste when you drink it. It's safe to drink just has a taste. Therefore, I know these are working. I usually let them sit in the water overnight just to be safe but they completely remove the taste from the water.

My daughter in law has these, so I had to try. I got them to make filtered water for coffee (coffee snob). Then my fridge went out and for 2 weeks it was repair after repair until it was replaced. During that time, the only filtered water was what I made with these and it worked FANTASTIC! I hate city water and highly recommend

And by "noticeable", I mean quite noticeable: there is a distinct loss of the usual off-putting tap-water overtones of flavour that mar the experience of a cold glass when you need it most. How much of a loss depends on the size and age of the charcoal piece you're using, and how far along it is in its age/usability timeline (according to product literature and other reviews). Personally speaking, I dunked 1 of 2 pieces in a glass and drink directly, about 2-3 times daily - I have most of my midday water at the office. Had this for a few weeks now and it's still going strong on its initial boil!For those who have experienced charcoal powder or particles in their water, I've found that rinsing the charcoal well as instructed and boiling it before use (letting it thoroughly dry first) gave me absolutely no trouble. Not saying you couldn't ever have this problem while following instructions, but it's certainly not a universal issue, given my experience. I'll update if that changes.Overall, very pleased with this product. For the price, I'm happy not feeling the guilt from all the packaging and material used in Brita filters that was the main reason we stopped filtering our water years ago.Water (especially our hard water) is tasty again!

The multiple benefits of charcoal in water was a plus for me. For sure, my water taste better. Will definitely repurchase again.

Le produit semble fonctionné car je trouve que l'eau a un meilleure gout et cela reduit le plastique.Parcontre il se casse facilement et laisse parfois des tout petit morceau dans l'eau.Je pense pas que cela soit important mais on sais jamais
