I got this for my family member who has pus in their in their bottom so it's not good for them to directly sit their whole bottom on the couch. We really liked this one because I noticed that most of these special pillows had a hole that was really small and I didn't want my family member to have to sit uncomfortably trying to sit in the perfect position to fit the small hole. My family member and I liked that not only was the width of the hole large and comfortable but the cushiony part is also wide so it's comfy for both to sit and relax on and the affected area relaxes as well and it doesn't lose its plumpness when he sits on it.

This product is made from a black, velvet-like material and very well constructed. There are two sections - a smaller lower section that is very firm and an upper section that is softer and cushier. My first use was as a chair pad and it did provide some relief for short stretches. I also tried using it for long drives, but I found that it wasn't as useful for me as the driver since the combined height of the two sections raised me too high in the seat. This isn't a knock on the product as it's just a result of being well-made with firm padding.

My mom recently had tailbone surgery and needed something to assist her in post-recovery. She tried this pillow and unfortunately it didn't work at all for her. Her biggest complaint is that it was too firm and too small. It could be better for younger people, but for her it just didn't work.

While I'm not a BBL patient, my well-loved computer chair's seat was wearing thin, and I was starting to feel the frame poking me in my bony backside. Enter this amazing pillow! Firm, but not so much to be uncomforable--and not too squishy at all. It fit perfectly in the seat, and the square foam support on the bottom gives me an added lift at my work desk. I thought I would be rather unimpressed with this donut pillow for the price, but it exceeded my expectations. I have used other memory foam donut pillows and found this one to support my rear much nicer. I am excited to be using this while I spend long hours doing graphic design or sewing projects in my work room. It's very nice! I do recommend it!

So, I honestly did not use this for a BBL, I am kinda good in that area. I added It to a desk chair for comfier writing and It's not as comfortable to me. Maybe I need a cushion rather than a sedentary post-surgery pillow. The fabric is great, I do not slide, so maybe this purchase would be great for you or a very short driver!

This pilow is too firm for a bbl patient. Very uncomfortable and doesn't rest in the right areas. Don't bother!

my gaming chair has flattened from years of use, to the point that I bruise my tailbone from sitting on the thing for too long. This pillow has been an amazing addition to my set up. not only does it raise me a little higher than the obnoxiously high handrests, I feel zero pressure in the usual sore spots i get from sitting for too long.The pillow itself is also weighted to keep it in place, and has a soft, felt-like texture to it.it may look funky, but it's a good buy!

I can't speak to the bbl recovery usefulness of this pillow but(t) (see what I did there?) I have an older family member who experiences a lot of pain from sitting now that their "tailbone padding isn't what it used to be". We have tried a few other options and this is the winner by far. It's very soft fabric and the structure definitely provides support while revealing pressure. It's a really nice pillow and for the price (and the environment) I didn't want to get something just to toss it in a few months, so I put a pillow protector on it to make it "washable". I am very happy my family member is happy and a bit more comfortable!
