Fashion Dreamer - US Version

Fashion Dreamer is a wonderful little social fashion game. It's very cute, and is really one of a kind when it comes to dress up games. It's made by the company behind the style savvy series, and imo doesn't disappoint. A few nitpicks such as the short length of the game, and fewer items than I'd like. But the online connectivity really makes this game a joy as you can design and receive outfits from other real people. There's also an offline mode but it's ultimately not the intended experience here. The game is also receiving updates for more content. 100% recommend.

It's really addictive, when you first start out! I already made my avatar look like me obviously. And you could send 'Lookit' requests so other players that can make you a outfit! Also the show rooms of other players are super cool and cute! Like I already started out making my brand logo and decorating with what I could. To me personally it's really fun! Enjoy it, if you're thinking of getting it! No matter what other people think. :) but it is what it is, it doesn't have story mode unfortunately, but hopefully when the update comes...it won't be as boring..ya know! 🖤

My 9 year old granddaughter loves it.

My niece wanted this game for Xmas but didn’t get it so I told her I would buy it for her bday. It was hard to find a hard copy vs a digital copy but I found one. I asked her what she thought of the game since she was so exited to get it, but her response was, “it’s cute and fun, but kinda boring.” That is coming from a 15yr old. She wants to be a fashion designer and thought this game would be more than than it was, but she still plays it, it just isn’t her favorite.

The grinding in this game is doing the same thing over and over. Which gets real repetitive and boring quick. The range of fashion is pretty good but you can't mix patterns into different clothing. Which I thought was odd and a really missed opportunity. The most you can do when creating the clothing is changing the colors. Definitely not a game a would recommend to everyone. There are better games out there. The only reason I am giving it a three is cause my daughter is enjoying the simplicity of it. But they could do so much better.

I had a really good time playing this. The performance could use some optimization, but it's not an action game, so it doesn't really affect gameplay. Most of my time was spent interacting with others and designing outfits that match their look and style. If you're the type to spend an hour in a create-a-character screen, you might enjoy this. I'm a guy, and probably not in the assumed demographic for this game, but I like putting together attractive outfits for these characters. There's nothing weird or lewd, it's just cute outfits. I can easily recommend this for any age, andz/or budding fashionistas.It's a cute, fun time for anyone interested in fashion, or just viewing fashion on others.

Positives: This game is beautiful. Decent customization, I love the height options. You can have multiple "muses" aka models to dress up, up to 4. Its fun to see what other people create and making outfits for other people is great.Negatives: Inventory search is very clunky. No zoom while creating outfits. No indication of what is "elegant" or "cool" so its a lot of trial and error. There is absolutely no story. The game is just creating clothes and dressing people up. If you thought this would be similar to Style Savvy, you are mistaken. The NPCs are very flat and one dimensional. No fashion shows. Feels like a mobile game with the bingo and gacha machines. Organizing inventory is a pain. Once you get over 1000 items everything takes so long to load. Online mode crashes sometimes when connecting, lost several outfits from other players that way. No bags, no gloves, minimal layering. Overall, a disappointment. Hopefully future patches fix the issues but who knows. I really wish they would just make a new Style Savvy.

I love this game. It's similar to covet fashion's daily free-styles, where you're only given a theme but you can choose whatever pieces you want to create the look. But there are NO micro-transactions! You like something? Boom! It's in your inventory! You want to style an NPC or other player? Not only can you use what you have in your inventory, you're also given a list of extra items to choose from! Your ratings and popularity go up if people like what you style and you can also CREATE your own pieces! Do you want to play solo? Go for it! Want to play online? NO NINTENDO SUBSCRIPTION NECESSARY! Play online and play solo, style freely and automatically gather all the items of clothing you like, without paying extra for it! There have been negative YT reviews comparing this to an older, different Nintendo game about styles, I don't know anything about that game, I never played it. But if you ever played CF and were frustrated from free play with lack of options or broke the bank with all the micro-transactions, sigh a sigh of relief because THIS is THE GAME for YOU!

Is it revolutionary gameplay? NoThat being said, if you are a fan of Japanese fashion, it is a must buy. It was made by the same team that made the Style Savvy games on 3DS.The core of the gameplay is to acquire clothing and creating coordinates for the different people in this world. You get to customize the clothing as well. You can connect with friends and create outfits for them or visit their rooms.It is exactly as advertised and a lot of fun

It’s a fun game. You can play solo or online (choice is yours). You can have upto 4 characters (either 4 people who can play on one switch or maybe you want 4 characters for yourself like I do). It’s a fun game, however I wish there was a bit more to do…like I wish you could create your own bedroom or something. You collect clothing by liking other people’s clothing (or the npc’s clothing depending on if you are solo or online) and you get new boards of clothing each day to like so your wardrobe will grow. Character Customization is good (I wish there were more hairstyle choices and colours but it is decent for what it is). Do I think it’s worth 90 bucks? No, 80? No, I’d say more like 40 or 50 bucks. But that’s up to you. If anyone has a question feel free to ask but keep in mind I have played a week and a half worth of the game.

I’ve found this game rly fun so far!! The gameplay loop is extremely repetitive though and consists of doing basically the same thing over and over again with very little variation so you definitely need to be the type of person to enjoy that sort of thing.
