The solar panel chargers arrived as advertised and I installed then in a sunny location. I also recharged my cameras to 100% electrically. Despite daily operation of the cameras the solar panels have maintained the cameras charged at 100%. They have only been up about 3 weeks so I can't comment on their longevity. So far so good. I saw recently that Arlo is now offering a 3 camera package including solar panels. If that had been available when I first purchased my cameras I would have bought it.

This will not hold a charge for this camera model. It’s in the sun for 10 hours and it holds it the same percentage and then it drops at night and never restores until it eventually dies. We have the camera on low power mode too.

Unless you want to climb up the ladder to remove the battery from the camera to charge it I would invest in the solar panels to keep the battery charged.

Easy to set up

If you have multiple Arlo cameras and hate to dismount the camera to charge the batteries, then this set of solar panels is for you. The set comes with three panels and the included hardware to mount it. The solar panels are rated to give 6volts at 4.5watts and each comes with a long 13 foot wired lead with the magnetic connector at the end to connect to you Arlo camera. The solar panel performance is good and ones you put it in a good sunny spot, the Arlo camera will immediately change the status to charging. There is one thing I didn't really like that I thought would be a flaw later is that there is no waterproofing along the wire where it goes into the back of the panel and there is no rubber o-ring around the magnetic connector to prevent water from seeping up into the charging area of the camera. In future versions I would like the manufacturer to add better water proofing and I think if they did, they would get full 5 stars.

Everything is as expected the cable length is helpful for me to mount the solar panel a little bit further away location where sun light is abundant.

I hooked one of these solar chargers to a camera, had it pointing to the southeast for most efficient charge but the battery life continued to diminish so I returned them. I don’t recommend buying aftermarket solar chargers.
