I enjoyed reading this and I love both Caleb and Layla! Caleb is probably one of the kindest characters ever, the way he loved Layla and the way he always put her first 🥹 Layla was super sweet and she deserves all the good stuff and of course she deserved a Caleb in her life 😉 The story was sweet, romantic and way more steamy then first two books! I only didn’t like the third act break up part, because of the way Layla acted 😭 It broke my heart to see Caleb hurt and confused. I loved LukaStella and EvieBeckett moments in this book, the way they all were there for etch other 🫂 BECKETT STILL STANDS AS MY FAVORITE LOVELIGHT SERIES BOY, but we will see how it goes as next book is Charlie book 🙈 We saw Nova in Beckett book, his youngest sister and we saw Charlie in Stella book, her half brother. Mixed Signals is the third book in the series Lovelight. I don’t know what B. K. Borison put in her books, but they are addictive. This book was everything: cozy, cute, funny. I didn’t want the story of Layla and Caleb to end.Those two sunshines made me laugh, smile like a fool, and even cry. I loved how passionate Layla was with her bakery. You almost smell the pastry she makes with how well it is written. Since I finished this book, I have a craving of shortcakes. I also loved her need to have something to herself and how blind she was to Caleb's crush on her. It was cute. I loved that she tease Caleb as well with pastry.I should have been warned about Caleb and the fact that he would take Beckett's place as my favorite. He has a golden retriever vibe, loves with all his heart, and takes care of those he loves, including Layla. He is such a cutie. Also, Sheriff Dan should arrest him for teasing us like that with Layla. Layla was burning with desire and so were we. He melts me so many times while going slowly with Layla and make her believe she deserve to be treated right. 🫠 Him remembering all she likes made me say 'AWWW' so many times. What crushes my heart and makes me feel seen is when he mentions that he is scared to be too much since he loves fully. I totally understand him.I enjoyed reading about their relationship «I am really bad at dating, please help me», but actually, it was just the wrong person they dated. Their chemistry is obvious. Their interactions were cute and funny.PS: I loved seeing the previous characters and where they are. Beckett and his refugee. where do I even start?The absolute love I have for this series is indescribable. Caleb & Layla's romance was everything I could've hoped for, and such a sweet romance.I don't know how Becs does it, but she's written one of the softest, gentle, patient cinnamon roll book boyfriends EVER.Caleb was kind, gentle, PATIENT, sweet and such a good man to Layla... He was everything that she deserved, wanted, needed and more! Layla was the sweetest! I could totally related to her wanting to find 'her person' but unfortunately only have come across terrible guys so far.The fake dating trope was executed flawlessly. It was so innocent, fun and light - hearted, but the natural progression into real feelings and a real relationship felt so unbelievably natural. That's a common theme with all the books in this series - they just feel all so real and totally believable!Read this book if you want to read about the sweetest (but filthy in the bedroom) cinnamon roll of a teacher, win over the heart of gold but fierce as hell town baker!

The first book I read from this series and I loved it

I think it is impossible for me to express how much I've loved this book ! It has everything : small town, deep characters, romance, baking, kiss in the rain...It is like a warm hug you never want to end. I really liked Layla's character and her insecurities about having a relationship and owning her own business. And what can I say about Caleb ? He is perfect from start to the end, letting Layla discover what she needs and what she deserves in a relationship. Always letting her shine.It is the second book I read from B.K. Borison and I'm not gonna stop ! The whole lovelight series is just chief's kiss, the kind of romance you remember because of how it made you feel.
