Pucking Around: A Why Choose Hockey Romance

Great why choose romance
I absolutely loved this book so much! I read it last month as a buddy read with one of my friends. She has just gotten her kindle and was (and still is) in a totally ban of hockey romance so this book was just perfect for a buddy read. We both absolutely loved it from start to finish. This is a mfmm hockey romance. Rachel meets Jake in Seattle without knowing who they are. This interaction takes place in the prequel novella. Rachel ends up taking a fellowship as a physical therapist with a hockey team that of course Jake is a player of. There is also Jake’s best friend the equipment manager and a stubborn goalie who is hiding an injury.Let’s just say all these characters together are going through some stuff and reading this book was absolutely amazing. It is a standalone but it is part of a series as book two doesn’t center around the same couple.

This book is FILTHY. I love it.
I honestly was not prepared for how many marks the book hit for me. It’s like Emily Rath went and got a shopping list and was like all of this is going in. And honestly it’s glorious. Not only was the spice impeccable but the story itself was good and the emotional investment felt very balanced. The banter is so good that I was hysterically squealing and the smut so good I had to take intentional breaks for…reasons.Jake Compton is the perfect golden retriever with a dirty mouth.Caleb Sanford is the perfectly sinful dark and broody bi king.Ilmari Kinnunen is doing the absolute most for our silent Viking giants. And our FMC Rachel Price. Babe. You are loving the dream.I could not put this book down and blasted through 700+ in no time. I honestly feel like every itch is scratched.

Absolutely loved!
The prequel book, That One Night, sold me on Jake and Rachel, but Pucking Around cranked it up to 11!This book is huge but reads so fast, it was instantly engaging, super spicy, and a lot of fun. I love that it wasnt overly angsty and the characters each bring something entirely different to the table when it comes to their relationships to Rachel and each other. I really loved the addition of Caleb and Ilmari and how their family comes together. As someone who has no interest in sports, the world of hockey setting didn’t pull me to this, but it also didn’t turn me off because of how great a time I had with the characters.Absolutely recommend this if you like or are interested in Why Choose romance, epic and consistent spice, and more love than angst when it comes to your book mood!I can’t wait to read about Tess in the next book!

I’m sorry but, absolutely not
It’s written well but I really hated the story. The beginning was fine, but as it went on it got truly painful to finish the book.I was intrigued because I read the plot, but I’ve never seen a plot written so badly now that I read the book, it’s kind of misleading and it’s absolutely not what I was expecting…
