It is so easy to use double hinges swings either way. Nice looking and sturdy

I bought this to keep my dog out of my rec room. It's a wide opening. It's also a one step walk down into the room from the kitchen. Didn't want to put it on the kitchen floor. Put it on the rec room floor. There's enough extra width to use the two ends on an angle to keep the fence sturdy enough to resist a 15lb dog throwing herself at the fence. For me at 5'9, to walk over it. Construction is excellent. No defects I saw. Hinges are good quality. Came screwed together. It's a good product at good value.

We have a very tiny Maltese puppy that currently weighs less than 2 pounds. He can slip through very small spaces, but this gate is just the right size to keep him from getting out. The spaces between the bars are about 2 inches (maybe slightly less). The gate is sturdy. I don’t know if it would be sturdy enough for larger dogs but for small dogs it’s perfect.

This is attractive & sturdy. Worked perfectly at the top of a staircase to prevent 2 disagreeable cats from fighting. I don’t use the base supports - not needed.
