I can’t speak for durability yet as I only got it yesterday but it was delivered a day early simply pulled it in and press ok and it was scanned and set in minutes no problem yet looks so smart compared to similar priced items good value for money very happy

For the money there's not much to complain about.I experienced the same sound issues others have reported however, as Inhalf expected this I went to the ROSS web site and downloaded a firmware update which fixed the issue.EPG is a little clunky compared to more expensive receivers but it's functional and more than adequate for my needs.I recommend this product if budget is the main consideration but do not expect the same build quality as an expensive equivalent.

Does exactly as described - takes a strong aerial signal to get high definition channels to be made easily recordable.

Not Bad For A The Price, Picture Is Okish Seen Better But Overall Not Bad!

As received, the unit was unable to receive sound signals on HD channels.When I contacted Ross,they immediately recognised the problem, and told me to download a software update from their website which did resolve the problem, but begs the question; why was this not done before the unit left the factory?Once set up, reception ( sound and vision ) was excellent on all channels. However after a few hours the unit locked up and had to switch on and off to unlock.This happened over 30 times in the first 48 hours of use and I decided this was unnacceptable, and returned the unit as unfit for purpose, for a refund.This cost me 11 GBP.The return address supplied by Amazon was incorrect and Royal Mail were unable to deliver to Durabuy and returned to sender ( me). I am not prepared to fork out another 11 GBP to return yet again until Amazon clarify whether they will bear the cost.

Initially I thought this worked well, but the menus are poorly arranged and confusing - setting the box to record anything is a nightmare.Also I had a strange problem, when I press standby the box goes into standby but it won't come out of standby without unplugging it and plugging it in again. This only seems to happen when a USB stick is plugged in. This wasn't solved by a firmware update.Picture quality is so-so and HD is much better on Freesat or Virgin.All in all it's a shame - a little more work and it could have been ok.

Liked the added features games etc. Also good selection of free view channels the box picked up

I bought as a present the recipient is really, really delighted with it. Not had it long enough to quote durability, but I'm sure it will be good. Everything else id pretty perfect. quick delivery too. Than l you regards Barbara
