Pretty in pink
Who else offers a neon pink string? They look and sound great on my white Yamaha bass. Easy to play and long lasting. Coated might not be your thing but having a little neon flair isn’t a bad thing.

Great Color and Quality
Strings were easy to put on and the package was labeled with which strings were what. The sound is pretty good but not as good as my nickel strings, however with that color you can’t beat it.

Great String as Well as Colorful
I have been playing bass for 40 years and currently own 12 basses - fretted, fretless, 5 string, 8 string, each type can benefit from a particular choice of string. These DR Neons are a direct replacementfor any rock n'roll application. They sound like the DR Sunbeams or Ernie Ball Slinkys to my ears. The color coating is NOT indestructible! You will see some wear around the area you finger or pickover time (over the pickups of your bass)but it is minimal. They are somewhat "sticky" to the touch comparedto plain nickel steel but not overly so. I have these pink ones on a pink Precision Bass and the lookgets many compliments at gigs. I bought a blue set for my blue Jazz Bass but they were dogs out of thepackage - bad day at the DR factory I suppose! They lacked ANY edge or punch or sustain. This has not yet happened with the three sets of pink ones that have been on my Precision Bass overthe past two years.

Great strings
Have had these on my bass for a couple of months now, great sound and they give my bass a cool look. I play for fun about 3-5 hours a week and haven’t seen much wear on the strings, would definitely buy again.

Smooth as butter
I was worried they’d feel coarse because of the coating but they are as smooth as butter. I’ve had them for some months now and play shows regularly so they’re starting to show some wear at the bridge where I pluck (I don’t use a pick) but they’ve otherwise been great! The UV reaction is BRIGHT! I liked them enough to buy a second set for my other bass.

Wow - impressed!
I’ve never played coated strings, was surprised at how crisp they are. Treble is still there, and the tone is great. These are quality strings. A student used these for an 80’s themed drumline show and got tons of compliments.

Lots of attack, aggressive tone - surprising for a coated string.
I play a lawsuit era p-bass clone through 100w tube head (fender showman circuit) and 1x15 ampeg cab. These strings have a strong sonic character and puttig them on my bass made my tone a lot more aggressive and mid/treble-y.These strings are sadly a bit more "floppy" than I like, had to raise the action to compensate for low tension, but the HOT PINKness is cool enough that I don't mind moving the string that much further when I fret. The coating is easy on the fingers but after a few hours of play, it is definitely wearing where it contacts frets, but who cares. These look like they should fluoresce under UV, but I didn't see that last time I played near a blacklight.
