PHILIPSSnow Edition 64 GB USB 2.0 Pen Drive

This Philips Flash Memory Drive was for me a great purchase. I used it to 'back up' some precious photos that I had on a old laptop that was on its way out. Thankfully the drive is easy to use and I had all the photos downloaded in a jiffy, then transferred to a new laptop within minutes. Everything that I have plugged this drive into recognises the device instantly and I was so glad that there were no compatibility issues. Additionally once plugged in and on laptop it is very easy to manipulate, delete, add or remove files on the drive to ensure that only usefull documents or data are stored on this. I had no problem with 64GB of data available on the device. I easily fitted on lots and lots of memory on it and had ample room spare if need be. I most certainly recommend anyone buy this drive. Its an excellent brand (Phillips) and it does EXACTLY what it says. Its so good I would recomend a friend or family purchase this if they ever need a drive.

it does what it's made for

Isn't it amazing how much data comes down in price. This stick holds 16 times as much as a hard drive I once bought and was mocked for because people said I'd never fill it. At the moment, this stick is great as a back-up drive and for file transfer.It has been recognised fine by every computer it's been used on, both on a university campus and in my own machines.The case is hard and the lid fits nicely on the other end when it's in use. Yeah, I know that it's a small matter, but strangely satisfying.I do have a problem with the huge box filled with brown paper in which Amazon delivered it, but to mention that would break the review guidelines. So I won't.

I bought this item to backup all my files if for some reason my laptop died on me or got a virus. the item was packaged well, the flash drive itself is very presentable and handy if you are on the go, when placing it into the laptop a small indicator light on the flash drive illuminates to notify you that it is on and working. It was easy to set up and a pleasure to use. Would highlighly recommend this item.

I've been using Philips products for over thirty years now and have always been satisfied with them and their respective performances, and these little bits of kit are no exception to that general rule. They work as I'd expected and wanted them to, and they're reasonably priced. Sure, there are chearper models, but can you be sure the cheaper ones will do what you require of them with minimum fuss? I couldn't, so I stuck with what I knew. These are simple plug-ins that need no technical expertise (praise Heaven, in my case) and communicate smoothly with the PC's operating system minus any irritating faff. Just the ticket. 4 weeks after I purchased, it's damaged but not for misusing, it separate metal USB connector from plastic stick cover.

Philips 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory Drive FM064FD70B/10  This large USB 2 flash memory drive comes pre-formatted with the Windows FAT32 file system. I used it for for taking a Windows Backup of my data on my laptop which when finished was approx 14GB in size. However, the next time I plugged in the drive Windows Plug and Play could not mount it as an extra drive and after a minute or two suggested it should be formatted. I did this, but chose the more "industrial strength" NTFS file system type. Since the 64G drive is so large it takes a long time to format, (didn't choose the "quick" format option), so be patient. Since the drive had been reformatted, the original data backup was lost and the Windows backup program had to do a full data backup next time it was run, which took of the order of hours. My weekly backups then only have to deal with incremental changes to the data files on the laptop and so only take of the order of minutes. No problems with drive since. Bargain!
