Considering how filthy it was, it did a good job of collecting dirt as I went, as well as getting in most of the crevices. It doesn't seem to have left any scratches or anything on the paintwork. This mitt was too big for my hands, but it didn't slip off, even when heavy and sopping wet which I was concerned about when I bought it.
