I bought this product thinking it was for models and not soldering but it surprised me in being effectively efficient for my needs. Great light and works with any portable charging block. I noticed the power cable had a USB port on one end so I used my rechargeable portable battery for my cell phone and it worked like a charm. Now i can move it from my work room to my son's room when ever he needs it or even have it on a folding table in front of the TV with out any cable hassle.

Looks nice and works pretty good. The light works great. The only issue I can see is that for the magnifying glass to be really useful you would have to turn the unit around. The magnifying glass does not move forward enough you give you a good look at most circuit boards I've used on it. I find a good heavy duty pair of reading glasses work much better because you can move your head around without having to reposition a magnifying glass.

I just saved a over $100 high-end waterproof speaker system with this device. The micro USB port had pulled off the printed circuit board it was attached to, which I understand is a common problem with this speaker (EcoRox). The USB port was TINY, and the small printed circuit it had been covered to was small, maybe one inch long and .5 inch wide I used this device to hold the small board in place while I removed the old solder, then again to solder the new micro USB port in place. Without this device, there was NO WAY I could have done this job. There are two lenses built into the magnifier. As my eyes are 58 years old, I wish the smaller one was a bit larger and a bit more powerful. I still highly recommend it.

Ok item. Very cheap plastic parts. Light is too close to workspace. I had to 3d print another arm to modify it so the plastic would not melt from the iron. For the price, I would say it's fair. Batteries should be installed to give the base some weight. Light is very bright. Makes projects easier.

Now I can put models together much better, faster and get better results. The built in light and 2 clamps make this a joy to use. Don't know how I managed without it all these years. And very low priced. Can't spending more elsewhere. Get this one, you won't regret it.

Good magnification, bright light, sturdy clips and easy storage! In fact, it stores away so well that I can’t find it anymore but I’m sure I will one day! I used it for about 16 hours for long sittings and had no problems with it. I used it to paint miniatures in very fine detail. Would buy again and may if I can’t find the other one 🤔.

I do like this and it serves the purpose of what I got it for, however the soldering iron holder is useless. Where it is located on the station is right where you need to have your hand to work on whatever project you are doing. In reality there really isn't a good location for a soldering iron holder on the station anyway. Other than that, it is great.

Cons: - Product packaging is horrible. Product box literally fell open, spilling contents out. Does not reassemble to hold product. - Design makes it somewhat difficult to assemble. Double female end with wingnut rather than male on one side and female on the other means you have to balance it between both sides you are connecting it to while tightening. - Tightened does not mean tight. This thing would never hold the item I was working on in place, constantly moving around, etc. It is supposed to be a HELPING hand, not a HINDERING hand. - One of the alligator clips is twisted and the base insert fell out. - Tray does not stay in the allotted area. Would have been better if it came preinstalled to where it stayed in place. Pros: - (Has to think for quite some time)....the LED lighting is bright and a nice feature. - Nice large Ziploc bag. Overall, had I had known that this was what I would be receiving, I would NEVER have purchased it. I would love to return it, but with the way that the product packaging is, I do not see how I can. My recommendation to others: PASS

Good but the usb cable could be longer.
