Appears to work. The batteries go in backwards to what is normal. No directions are in the box. The laser bullet fits perfectly in the barrel. Never ever ever point a laser at your eye or someone else's. The red laser beam only shows when you pull the trigger. Do not expect the laser beam to appear the minute you put the batteries in. That is how a lot of lasers work in pistols and rifles. The strikeman laser has a soft rubber cushion. When you're firing pin hits it There's a sudden flash of laser beam. This is very cool though. Better spelled kool. I tested the batteries and they range between 1.3 to 1.4 v DC. Three in the laser means 4.5v DC. But more. What a relief since some lasers I ordered do NOT fit in the barrel!!!! Yea! Be careful.

Can use with other brands laser targets if not wishing to go with a Strikeman app system. Worked just fine. Keep in mind the beam only emits when striken, so lots of full cycle racking practice. Comes in a nice case, albeit a bit large if intending to carry or store in your gun bag.

Saved a ton of money!!! After picking up the new Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0, I was eager to head to the range and break it in. However, I quickly realized that .380 ACP ammo is significantly more expensive than 9mm. To save on costs, I looked for a training alternative and discovered this laser cartridge. The build quality is impressive; it has a premium, hefty weight that matches a live .380 ACP round. The red laser is exceptionally bright, and when paired with my phone, it transformed my living room into a simulated firing range. It’s a fantastic way to practice dry firing and fundamental drills without burning through expensive ammunition. My only criticism is that you have to manually rack the slide after every shot. Despite that minor inconvenience, the ability to practice at home is invaluable. I give this product a 9/10 and plan to use it until I’m ready for more live-fire sessions.

Bought this to use with a laser target system I already had. This .380 cartridge fits perfectly in my Beretta M1934, and the laser is brighter than the one I have (in 9mm) from another manufacturer. One advantage of the Beretta is that I just need to thumb the exposed hammer instead of racking the slide between laser shots. Comes with batteries. Note the batteries are installed "upside down" from what you might expect.

I bought this for a 9mm Girsan Match X, because the Strikeman website suggests getting the .380 ACP for this specific barrel. The first laser they sent emitted a weird starburst of lasers that wasn’t useable, so I sent it back and they sent me a replacement. About a month into using the new one, the rubber on the back broke and now it’s unusable as well. Unfortunately, Amazon isn’t letting me return the item twice, even though these issues are no fault of mine. This was a complete waste of money. Hopefully the manufacturer reaches out to replace it, but I highly doubt it. I will update the review if they do. Basically, this thing is going to fall apart on you one way or another. Skip it and go with another brand.

I love being able to shoot indoors. My husband is former military, and he always picks on me being a girl who did not grow up shooting that I’m not very good at it and so now with this bullet, we also have another caliber. I can practice indoors and get better and not waste ammunition.

I received the StrikeMan in 9mm as a gift. The 9mm laser cartridge does NOT fit all 9mm chambered pistols AND StrikeMan knows this and has a list of pistols that require the shorter .380 ACP laser cartridge. Granted my review is not relevant to the .380 ACP laser cartridge, I’m taking this opportunity to share my experience. StrikeMan could provide this information in the description of the StrikeMan and also on the exterior of their packaging. The obvious reasoning that they don’t is, they get to sell another laser cartridge in .380 ACP. Also for the price of this laser cartridge it should include at least one set of replacement o-rings. I’m usually understanding when it comes to these matters, in this particular I’m not so forgiving and flexible. Again when I contacted StrikeMan customer service, they knew my pistol would need the .380 ACP laser cartridge. Not cool. I’d HIGHLY recommend contacting StrikeMan PRIOR to purchasing a kit for YOUR 9mm pistol to verify which kit you should order for your particular 9mm pistol. Perhaps your pistol should have the .380 ACP laser cartridge as did mine.
