Sturdy enough for my 3 and 5 yr old to play with and there's room for Harold the helicopter to land on the roof.

This simple roundhouse is great for toddlers that might be too rough with more detailed versions that include swinging doors and a moveable turntable.This one is simple and sturdy. Strong enough to stand on.It works with the standard track and trains. It adds one more track option for creative minds.I have noticed that toddlers aren’t very good at planning layouts that circle back and connect to other segments. Rather, they make long runs. Attach this to a dead end and they have designed something functional.

This is a rather solid toy - some pieces of wood painted and screwed together. The screws are visible on the top but otherwise are hidden. The construction quality seems good - decently thick wood that is very similar to the wood train track I already have.This is just an accessory for a wood train - you can attach a standard wood train track to the outer spot and then it allows you to move your train or cars to any of the five storage spots. Each is probably big enough for 2-3 cars depending on your train. You can see one of my cars on it in the picture for size reference.Getting it to make some of the corners is somewhat difficult depending on which slot you're aiming for - the trains can go to the straight ahead and far left/right ones. The two between them are harder.The machining on the splitter piece is a bit rough in some places (not sanded smooth like my train track) but it's not to a dangerous level (ie no splinter damage, just not smooth-to-touch).All in all quite a nice upgrade for a train.

I had been looking for this piece for a long time. So glad that I found it and my child loves it.
