I have a cat that has FIV so I've been using the powder Lysine. Decided to try these chews to make it a bit easier. Picky cat wouldn't eat them. Even if I crumbled them up and mixed it in his canned food. I'm sure they work fine, if your cat isn't as picky as this high maintenance hairball of mine.

These were very hard - had to soak I hot water to soften them enough for my cat to be able to eat them

These are detailed as "soft chews", but should be detailed as "crunchy". I literally had to push on the top of the knife blade in order to break them apart because they do not cut....they break apart. The knife I used is quite sharp! A company as large as GNC should really be standing by their products. While this was not a big dollar purchase, I feel compelled to share this info on principle alone. If the container literally reads "SOFT CHEWS" and is advertised as such, it would stand to reason that if the product is not as detailed or advertised, it should be replaced or refunded. Expiration on this bottle is 11/2023. There is no reason they should be this tough. Money down the drain! DO NOT BUY THESE!

I don't know if they have been helping my cats' immune system, but I have to cut them into quarters and mix them into their food for them to eat them because they are too big and hard.
