I have been using this planter system for less than 2 weeks and am mostly satisfied so far. The ONLY potential down side that makes this less than perfect is that the light panel does not hinge or swivel to allow any angle other than directly down. This is not a big deal, but other systems we have allow the panel to hinge, which enables me to cast light at a different angle for various reasons that are specific to me.Other than that, I am please that my first batch of seeds sprouted rather quickly and appear to be growing nicely. The pump is super quiet and the overall quality of construction as well as instructions and materials seem quite good.

Love! Love! Love! It’s the easiest gardening I’ve ever done! No matter if you have a green thumb or not you will definitely be able to grow your own lettuce, tomatoes and bell peppers in no time at all. Do not grow tomatoes with anything else they are ruthless and will take all the nutrient from other plants and will cause root rot. I purchased 3 for myself and 1 for my son and we both love it! * it’s 2024 now and I still think this is a great purchase!

This water garden is great! Super easy to assemble and get started. The herbs and vegetables I planted are growing wonderfully. The pump is super quiet and the light is bright, but not obnoxious. I have only had it a month, so do not know how easy it will be to clean after harvest. Other indoor gardens I have had would remind you to add water or food by the lights becoming a flashing red light. I wish this one did that, so I gave it only 4 stars.

This has been a great, especially as a project to do with the kids. We have transplanted some of the pepper plants and basil out to bigger pots at this point because they are going to get big, and then we started new stuff in their place. It really is an excellent, clean seed starter for those bigger plants. I don't know if I would keep really large plants in there for very long, but I guess some folks do. Since we are growing both herbs and peppers, moving them is just easier. The built-in grow light is fantastic, and the fact that it is on a timer works out really well. Very happy with this purchase. It's not always easy to have time to tend to a garden outside, and this is a very fun, compact alternative.

I didn't know anything about planting strawberries but I wanted to try out hydroponics because it's fascinating to be able to grow things without soil.I bought a cheap strawberry seed packet on Amazon, and I planted 10 pods of 3-4 seeds each in my Ahopegarden hydroponic kit. I'm about 7 weeks out from planting, and I'm getting some small flowers now. Pump still runs as expected. The two different lighting modes could be a bit better explained/labeled. I initially used the "fruit" mode because I thought strawberries are fruits. Then my brain kicked in and I said "wait that makes 0 sense." After reading the manual more carefully, the lighting modes are "vegetable" to encourage more leaf growth and "fruit" to encourage flowering and fruit development.All in all, it's very easy to use.

I’ve been wanting to try this type of garden for several years. I finally decided to purchase a small one and see how well it does. Every single one of my pods germinated and grew. I have already trimmed lettuce and eaten some on sandwiches. I can start using the basil soon. The tomatoes are the ones I’m really curious about. They are very tall and I’m wondering how they will do and if they will overshadow the other two items I have in there. Time will tell, but I will update as soon as they flower and produce. In the future, I may not put tomatoes in with other things that don’t grow as tall. But so far I’m very happy with the set up and the ease of taking care of the water levels and the nutrients. I did go ahead and order an extra set of sponges for future plantings because I really like what I have. Excited to have freshly grown food during the winter months.

I’m excited to see that I have sprouts in less than a week in all but two. The directions were clear and easy to follow plus there’s a quick guide for those that don’t want to read more lengthy instructions. I think it’s important to follow the directions on your seed packets as well. I followed the instructions on my seeds and soaked the tomato and lettuce seeds in water for 12-24 hours then I followed the instructions for the ahope garden and there were literally sprouts from the tomato seeds within 3 days! The picture included is 6 days in. I wanted this to make salads and to have some herbs eventually. We’ll see how everything turns out but so far so good. The price point on this is very good as well. I also think it would make a great gift.

As my first foray into hydrponic gardening this kit was ordered and received within 24 hours courtesy of Amazon Prime. Received well packaged and in good nick with all the materials needed for me to get it set up within about 10 minutes.Initiallly, the pump did not work and the unit did not automatically turn off for the first 24 - 36 hours. I contacted the company via email & was preparing to return the entire thing in disgust when I turned it off and on again for maybe the 20th time and the pump came on.I observed its operation for the next 2 days and both the pump and the lights have cycled off and on as they should.The company representatives claim it isn't uncommon for the units to behave like this when they've sat for a while. This is not normal behavior for electronics and leaves me with grave misgivings regarding the quality and longevity of these products. However, I registered the device and activated the warranty and given the price point if it lasts more than 1 or 2 years I will be satisfied.
