Over time it will weaken and possibly even bend. I bought it strictly for price and made in America. But I should have gone for a little extra and purchased the boards that have individual footing than the bar type like this one has. Board moves a lot on carpet, hard floor not as much, but like I said, over time the joints will weaken. Plus it did not have the end support for the iron or whatever it is called, I use the square end for doing my shirts and with the iron holder on the end, hinders me. So this is why I bought this one.
