Size is as expected, maybe slightly larger than I thought. The anvil functions as an anvil should. It has a nice ring to it. The quality is pretty good, it did get some scuffs from transit, but shipping something like this will always be a challenge. Nothing a little grinding can't fix though. Overall value for the price is better than I expected.

I was sent this anvil after ordering one with a square slot. It has stood the test of time for me beating on it though and they threw in a nice hammer. I would give 4.5 if available

Great anvil for the money. Be wear hardy hole and preacher hole are huge far bigger then any other anvil

Heavy duty, straight forward, good anvil.

The anvil did have decent rebound as advertised but does not appear to be the make shown. The casting is not marked as advertised and the dimensions are not the same. Most of all the Hardy and Pritchel holes are much larger and not aligned as advertised.

This small anvil is the perfect size to put on my workbench and use for various aspects of leatherworking.

Fantastic quality product. It’s as described. It had a really nice solid weight perfect for any smaller projects requiring an anvil. It isn’t to small which was my main concern. For the price this is fantastic

Honestly? I'm a formally trained blacksmith. While this is no fancy anvil, it's great for crafting. Everyone should have a little anvil in my opinion. Any time you need to hit something against a solid surface, a little anvil is the perfect, literally historically, tool. The face edges come sharp. It's new. You have to face them yourself with a file or grinder. That's a bonus, cause you can customize your tooling. It's steel. It will rust. Normal. Working hot metal on it fixes it, or just sand it off and oil it. Either way, it's fine. The 'ring' is I'd describe as 'ok'. You can tell it's powdered steel, but solidly fused. So it's not the truly clear ring you are looking for, but at the price point, beyond expectation. So value for money is there. Jewelry, minor metal work. As a cut runner or base is amazing. They're stable. And if you mount it correctly to height on a steel post wrapped in wood along grain? You can significantly improve the function. No pritchet or hardy, but at the size, also normal. Pritchet would be useful, but it's too small for real hardy work anyways. Worth it for anyone. Price vs function is great.

Its a great Anvil for the price! Rebound is amazing with minimum ring. The face is nice and hard as it should be. You will have to dress the face edges as the angle is too sharp. Overall a great Anvil.
