A friend needed his clothes dryer fixed and the belt tensioner had to be replaced along with the drum rollers and this tensioner worked as advertised. Good price too.

Item was just a little different but , it did fit. It took all of five minutes to install after two hours of cleaning mess inside dryer bf I put in on. It was a blessing it started screeching out of the blue. I researched ( Siri helped find video ) to find likely this was the part I needed. I didn’t want to order just the pully to find I needed the bracket. Now, to find out how to stop inside mess! Literally, a fire hazard! So of a 65 year old disabled woman can fix it , anyone can! Estimate was $ 300 to fix but , I have a service plan on appliances and hvac system but that meant a trip out to establish part needed , then waiting two weeks to get a part, then a date to install. I wanted it fixed bf it broke completely! Literally , it’s very simple fix , less than a minute to install. The biggest time consumption was Whirlpool’s design bc this dryer took forever ( mask and safety glasses) to get cleaned out bf I could vacuum it out ! Best time to clean is repair time. I’d watched one you tube video to establish issue and part needed then Joe to fix it. I had a 5/16 socket , flathead screwdriver to remove duct off back after unplugging, charged drill to take off the back - all waiting when the part arrived. The man here to help - watched. Seriously. Although he did mop the floors afterwards for me. While I took a much needed hot bath. Bc I was a hot mess covered w dust and hair afterwards. But if I can do it you can too. The part was a bit lighter but isn’t everything since covid ? As long as it works when I do the laundry tomorrow . Bc bf putting back all items together , I did plug it in to hit the power button to see if it worked. Screech gone. Hope part lasts. But it was half the price of whirlpool and two day delivery… Success!!!!!!

My Maytag dryer (six years old) developed a horrible squealing noise last week. I opened it up last night and found that the idler pulley was the source of the noise. I ordered this last night and it was delivered this morning. I installed it and the drier is nice and quiet again - or at least as quiet as a dryer can get! This has a “lifetime” warranty, but honestly at this price, if it lasts a year I will be happy. After having to do a few different repairs on this machine (heating element, encoder knob PCB, and idler pulley) I will be opening it up at least once a year to vacuum out of the lint inside the cabinet anyway. Proactively replacing this pulley wouldn’t be a big deal. It looks almost exactly the same as the original pulley, with just a few differences. The spring attachment on the arm is a hole vs. a notch, and the pulley is slightly larger in diameter with taller edges. This doesn’t affect the fit or function at all, but it looks a bit sturdier than the OEM part. It’s also around half of the cost of the OEM part and with Prime, there isn’t shipping costs to add either. This appears to be a perfect replacement part for the pulley. I’m very happy to have my dryer working again at such an inexpensive repair.

Seem to be good quality but I'll probably check it after a couple months for wear. It's an old dryer so I go with the aftermarket parts for this appliance. I bought a pump from this company for the matching washer and it lasted about 2 years with moderate use, so l call that a win and just bought another $25 pump and maybe get another 2 years out of a 15 plus year machine. I replaced the drum rollers on this dryer and also the heating element and all are easy from the front jobs. Blue Star has a good warranty policy but more importantly I think they have reliable aftermarket parts, even if not quite up to the original, and much,much cheaper. Good compromise.
