My grandma was able to get out of these by pinning her hand under her thigh and pulling her hand out or she puts her hand behind her head then pulls her hand out. These need padding on both sides like the ones at the hospital. She wasn't able to get out of that one. If you have the one that's only padded on one side, you have to block the person using their thigh or head, just use a big thick pillow as a barrier.
