This was a great price for a genuine Arduino board. The board is a great 1st time board as it not only has WiFi and Bluetooth but also has two processors that can be utilised separately if you choose to not use Bluetooth and WiFi. The onboard LEDs make playing with the board quick and fun for beginners. There are so many features on board. The only word of caution is the max amount of amps on the pins has dropped considerably so bigger resistors will be needed, this is important as sketches for the UNO r3 work with 5v and 20 milli amps. This board has maximum 8 milliamps. And the esp32 chip uses only 3.3v. So you just need to check before turning on your projects. Great board though! So always recheck before turning on your projects.

The latest revision of the Arduino Uno has a lot more to offer that its predecessors. Having said that, the design team have have worked to maximise compatibility so this new updated microprocessor board should drop straight in to any existing project. The build quality is very high. The device is fast enough and has capacity to meet a very wide range of requirements.

Arduino Uno. Hours of fun making stuff work. I bought this one as it has WiFi. The only snag is that I can’t think why I’d need the WiFi option. I’m sure I’ll think of something. Arduinos are great!

Firstly I had to search around for a spare USB cable. Downloaded IDE 2.2.1 expecting it to run out the box, no! Every little program was failing. Goto boards>board manager and type R4 wifi and install this board. NOW it works.

My son bought the R4 to help with the microcontrollers unit in his BTEC engineering course. It was just a few quid more than the R3, but is newer, has better features, and importantly it has a USB C interface which was essential to connect with a Mac M1 without an expensive adapter. I bought this with a cheap electronics accessory kit and within days we were building circuits and programming. I did consider the Arduino starter kit but this was far cheaper, and all the resources to learn are online. It’s a great way to learn about coding.

Ordered this following years with the R3. Wow what an improvement. So many new features, and loads of examples in the program. The ESP32 addition opens up so many possibilities - better than a straight ESP32

Nonostante avessi già 4 arduini ho deciso di comprare questo che era l’ultimo, che lo ho da ormai 8/9 mesi e lo tengo parecchi stretto, la matrice led è un ottima idea per visualizzazioni semplici e in progetti più complessi banalmente fa risparmiare minimo 2 pin, anche se non sembra, al buio lascia vedere numeri e lettere completamente comprensibili, anche l’usbc è stata una bella evoluzione insieme al Wi-Fi.
