As a cheap carpenter to any other sitting on the fence reading this review—buy this. You will not regret it. I fought with cheaper levels (Irwin’s and even empires) and finally decided to upgrade to a 4’ and 6’ Stabila. What an idiot I was for waiting so long. You don’t realize the time you lose from a level that is either inaccurate (even to a small degree) or a level where the bubble is difficult to view.

Great level for tile work

Get levels as usual, just a little narrow.

Second one I own. Had to do a job out of town, and just shipped this ahead. A little smaller in size girth-wise than other Stabila models, but still a good rugged level. I would call this a interior finish level, but I used it for all phases. A truly great value. I found it necessary to pop a cap off one end for making marks somewhat perfect! You can put it back on, or live with it. The beveled ends are most people's complaint.

What's to say? Stabila levels are perfect, beautifully crafted, and the standard. I've only been working construction for a short time, but you can tell a carpenter by his tools, and when working with industry professionals who've been building for over 40 years, you tend to notice and mimic their choice in tools.If you show up on the job with a non-stabila, the first thing the boss does is check for its accuracy against the Stabila. If you pass the Stabila test, your substandard level is allowed, otherwise, you'd better get a Stabila.

Nothing is like a stabila level. Qaulity is perfect and lightwieght

don't know why they call it a 48 inch level when it is only 46 inches. it is also a lot smaller in size, but it works good. I would call it a home owners level not a contractors level
