Great wave maker so far!
After I received the Carefree Wave Maker, my first impression was that it was well constructed. The box came with ample packaging, so there is little chance that this will be damaged in shipping. After I looked over all of the parts, I was impressed with how thick the plastic was for such a compact wave maker. Installation was very simple, as there are really only about 3 parts to connect together. The magnet which holds the wave maker to the glass is quite strong. This is nice as there is little chance that the unit will move around. After plugging it in, I was impressed at how quiet it really is. I really can't hear it making any sound at all. I will say that I agree with previous reviews that the instruction manual does need a little work in explaining more clearly. That being said, after spending about 15 minutes with the control panel, you can easily figure it out. I have had several wave makers in the past and this one is right up there with them for about half the cost. I would recommend this unit. I will update my review after I give this wave maker some time in my aquarium and add pictures.

Does not last long
This didn't even last one year. It now short circuits wheneven it is in water. If I let it dry it will work then the moment I place it back in the tank I lose all power to the fan and screen.
