Coming from a laptop that had a GTX 1060 GPU to this one is shocking to say this least. I bought this because a very graphics intense game a play was badly under performing on my previous rig. With this I consistently see FPS at 100 or more and the gameplay is fluid. This is a great gaming platform.

I am very disappointed because I'm using this powerful laptop for mundane office/home work and am not even pressuring it to its supposed capacity and the motherboard just suddenly died on me.I bought a warranty for it, yet it was still under manufacturer warranty, so I took it to get it serviced and it is taking more than a couple of weeks to get the replacement motherboard.That leaves me without any backup or way to continue with my commitments for too long of a time. What is the warranty for if you can't get back to an operational an operational status foraftet more than two weeks ?Very disappointed and frustrated with this, especially after paying so much for it to ensure something like this was not a possibility.

This new G16 was much lighter than I anticipated, but the materials felt very dense and sturdy. I already love the hinges over the previous model I bought for myself, and the upgrades that were included saved me from having to do the work myself. Would buy again, as I have 2 other models now (for myself and my spouse)

The only reason why I’m giving this laptop 4 stars, instead of a perfect score, is because when I first purchased the laptop, it needed A LOT of updating. I’m talking, EVERYTHING.After that, this laptop has been the definition of what a powerhouse is. This laptop is so good, that it can run pretty much any game I have, which includes games such as, Metro Exodus, Doom Eternal, and Halo MCC ON MAX SETTINGS. I’m talking everything, retracing, max definition, and every single little graphical detail you can think of. This laptop is HIM. And the FPS you ask? 120 - 160 FPS with rare lows of 80 - 100 FPS. That’s insane to me. The lows only occurring with the heavier games, not Halo. This laptop so far, has never gone below 80 FPS. It doesn’t even touch 60, unless a game is lock on it.The fan? Yooooooooo. This fan is an absolute monster. My pc has never overheated. And that fan sounds like a rocket when it needs to. However, the computer by default has a silent mode when you aren’t playing any games.The computer does get hot, just like any other. But it never overheats.Finally, let’s talk about THE SPEED. This computer will load up a YouTube video, in 4k, with mid internet, in less than a SECOND.And don’t even get me started with how it feels to navigate the internet with this thing. ITS CAKE.The audio???????! Yoooooo.. The audio on this THING! When I play songs in it I can feel the bass vibrations on my hands as I hold it. ANDDDDDD the computer is BIG, that 16 INCH, ITSB I G!You won’t have to worry about the computer being too small.That’s really all I have to say. I say that this really is a luxury laptop. You will definitely feel that when you buy it

I was skeptical at first about how this laptop would perform as a workstation or for school usage with multiple monitors. The i-7 did much better than I anticipated. It can handle heavy workloads. If you want a laptop, you can have fun with gaming and use it for work remotely; this is perfect. With a docking station, I had three external monitors hooked up, running YouTube in the background while doing a Zoom call, surfing the web, and working on Microsoft Word simultaneously. It performed flawlessly. 32 GB is a sweet spot, and I have yet to hit 80% usage, which I am thrilled with. I still need to fully understand turbo mode other than it maxes out its potential. I see no difference between performance and turbo mode in most games except Red Dead Redemption 2 online. Turbo mode will run your PC temps 10-15 c higher even though you have the fan speeds maxed out. For product longevity purposes, I suggest rolling with performance, as the high temperatures may dry out the thermal paste after a while and strain the hardware. Invest in a powerful CPU cooler if you want to use turbo mode for that tiny bump in performance boost on gaming max settings. Your typical 40$ laptop cooler will not cut it.If you have an Xbox game pass, it hardly uses any battery or causes much heat. Silent mode is perfect for games on a Game pass. The gaming battery is rated for 1-2 hours but can be extended depending on lighting features and graphic settings. Keeping the keyboard lights low and the screen at 35%, I can squeeze a solid 6 hours on this laptop. I recommend " training" the battery ten times from 0-100 and 100-0, letting it charge and drain continuously before continuously using it on a charger.I can get 100+ fps on average max settings on every game except Red Dead Redemption 2, averaging around 90 fps, which is still fantastic. I went from using a 60 hz monitor to a 165 hz, which is great. The refresh rate can also be changed, which helps improve the battery life.I am very, very happy with this purchase. It's a great deal for the specs you get. It is also a beautiful laptop; I love how easy the keys are to type with. In my opinion, the 16-inch is perfect for on-the-go and at-home gaming; I don't have to lean forward while lying down in my bed with my laptop lap desk to see the screen clearly, and I can perform my school work and work easily.The Asus armory crate has a ton of features. It's a one-stop shop for wallpapers, game optimizations, and updates. It is a bit tricky and overwhelming to use at first, but that's nothing a Google search and YouTube can't help you guide through.I thought about getting the i9 version of the laptop with a 4070/4080, but I knew it would see higher temps and less battery life, and the CPU is just fine. It blazes through any tasks I put it up to so far, with rapid responses and short loading times. incredible download speeds, it will probably take 1-3 hours to fully set, depending on how many files, and profiles you transfer to your PC and the games you downloadinstall all Windows updates before installing updates on the Play Store as some apps have different versions depending on your Windows update.Update the item was defective armor crate was laggy it worked fine for a couple of days the graphics card stopped registering as if it wasn't there... it wouldnt let me factory reset... I was approved for a refund once the seller received the item the seller received the item and didn't try to process the refund defective bad equipment never heard from seller... Amazon is taking care of it though ! You guys are awesome be weary of this seller
