Better Than Magic Keyboard for the Real World
If you’re comparing iPad cases, this might be the one you’ve been looking for.It works great both as a standalone case and as a keyboard.Like many reviews mention, it does add a noticeable amount of weight—but in my opinion, all the added functionality makes it well worth it.Everything about this case feels sleek and well-designed. I was originally considering the Apple Magic Keyboard, but it doesn’t offer real protection—and the idea of setting a bare iPad on any surface just didn’t sit right with me. Even though I was willing to pay the premium, I’m glad I chose this instead. No, it doesn’t have that signature MacBook keyboard feel—but honestly, if I wanted that, I’d just use my Mac. This feels like the right tool for the iPad.As for the case itself, the exterior feels smooth and premium to the touch. Setup was simple—just like pairing any other Bluetooth device—and the build quality feels solid and durable.I’m just a satisfied customer, and I hope this review helps nudge someone else in the right direction

Good keyboard case at a lower price than an Apple keyboard
I really like this ESR keyboard case. It works well and it is easy to type on and much cheaper than an Apple keyboard. There is a little bit of weight to it but that is because of the battery, which seems to have good life to it. I have not used it for more than a few hours but no issue with the battery during that time. The touch pad works well. My only complaint, which is more of a suggestion, is that I wish it had a slim companion case that you can use if you want to use the iPad without the keyboard. As it is, you have to buy a separate case if you want to use the iPad without the keyboard. But overall I am very happy with the keyboard.

Could be improved
I've had this for a week, and although i find it super useful, i feel like it could be improved.Pros:- Color matches perfectly with ipad- Materials feel high quality- Typing is super smooth- Easy connectivity and use.- Gestures work great on trackpad.- Love that it has a separate case for the ipad in case you need to use it without the keyboard.- Can use it horizontal or vertical which is very practical.Cons:- Trackpad is a bit hard to use, especially when clicking.- Vertical usage of the ipad is only possible with the case on.- Case in general is very heavy. I bought this to replace the bulk of my laptop, but ended up being heavier than it.All in all, i would buy it again because it does work as i planned, and it's cheaper than the original one, but i think for the pricepoint, there's things that could be improved.

Excellent and sturdy alternative to magic keyboard!
LOVE. Yes, it’s on the heavier side for a folio case, but I LOVE the extra detachable case. Can’t believe how much I’ve used it for work already switching between my work laptop and iPad when responding to emails. The mouse lags a bit, so I wish there was a way to change the sensitivity. However, it’s not a dealbreaker for me since I often use my pro pencil and fingers to navigate the screen. Love the different keyboard colors that backlight the keyboard. Love that the colors I’ve dimmable and I can turn them off to save battery. I really appreciate the magnet strength of the case because it does not feel like my iPad is going to fall off. I also really appreciate that the keyboard is its own battery so I don’t have to rely on my iPad to charge it. Love the light purple color that I bought, it seems to go well with the starlight color of my iPad. One thing that I appreciate is how thin the detachable cases, however, it is a little bit difficult to get the iPad in. If you don’t plan on removing your iPad from the detachable case then you will probably be all set! Otherwise, this is a very intuitive keyboard to use and I like the simple instructions that come with it. One upgrade that I hope they do on this case is adding a pen slot so that my pencil pro doesn’t get lost. I think I waited two or three months for more reviews to come in before I purchased this product. I will come back to update review if anything changes for me.

You Won’t Regret This Purchase
I was skeptical of buying this keyboard. When I tell you it is the most comfortable keyboard ever. It is a little heavy, but I love the feel. Makes my iPad feel more secure. I live how the pencil can still be attached and charged with this case in. The battery life has been great. I showed one of my friend and she though my iPad was an actual computer. Totally gives me that feel. I can’t wait to use it with the new iOS updates this fall.

Better
7/1/25Bought Magic Keyboard and did not think it was worth even close to the cost ( for that cost it should come with the pencil as well). Totally not worth the hype or price. The ESR was everything and more than was expected from the "Magic Keyboard"

Nice but bulky
The case works well. I like being able to remove the iPad from the keyboard and still have a bit of protection around it. However, the case is VERY heavy. I feel like it more than doubles the weight of the iPad. And the slippery plastic is hard to grip, making it an easy drop hazard for my small hands. The keyboard itself works well. The lights are so fun, but they certainly make the battery go fast. Whereas I only had to charge my old Caselogic once every 4-6 months, I have to charge this every 2 weeks. If I could get my daughter to leave the lights off, perhaps the battery would last a little longer. The pencil holder could stand to be more secure. Twice now I’ve had the pencil slip out in my bag, then I freak out looking for it, only to find it magnetized to the back of the case.Overall, given the alternatives available I would purchase this case again.
