Darn Tough, Hiker (Style #1903), Merino Wool, Micro Crew, Midweight, Women’s Cushioned Hiking Socks

A lot of money for a pair of socks but they really are excellent and they are guaranteed for life. Perfect design and fit, thick enough to provide extra comfort but not too heavy. Love the properties of wool but not all wool socks are made equal and these are the best ones I have, smartwool used to be great but haven't been impressed with the last couple of pairs I bought so I thought I'd try these and I'm glad I did. I save em for proper walks.

Love these too much to ruin in hiking boots! I wear them around the house and when I first get into bed, if it's cold. Dead sexy, right? They don't stay on long because they're so warm. A great quality product that i read about on a female hiker's website. I'd trust her judgement again.

These used to be the best socks, worth the money. Now they're just the same polyester merino mix as all the rest. Dunno when they changed them, but mine from a couple of years ago are the absolute perfect socks. These are meh. Fine. A bit expensive for what they are. I was searching for the old darn tough socks and these are just not it. Sad face.

An excellent walking sock. Worn to walk a 26.2 mile ( marathon length) walk in the Peak District with 5000 feet of ascent on a very hot and sunny day. No blisters. Comfortable. Did not slip or ripple during the walk. I will be buying more of these socks.

These socks are predominantly grey, not the greenish hue all over as they seem to appear on the website photo, so I’m a bit disappointed.Grey socks remind of school gym classes in the dim and distant past ! Hence my lower rating.Comfort and quality great as usual from Darned Toughs. I think the Amazon photo needs changing to truly reflect the true colour ... i.e. in my opinion, drab. I’ll definitely pay attention to the colour the next time I buy Darned Toughs.and I’ll go for brighter colours.

Great socks, they keep my feet warm and cosy. They don't get too hot, protect my feet from chaffing after long walks, and they keep well with frequent washing. I tried buying more but they didn't have in stock.
