Do these fit true to size?

I just got these and wore them to a pool party recently for the first time. They fit just fine when I put them on, but after getting wet they felt a bit too big on me. I think the excess water just made them hang more heavily. I like these, but I think I will get them a size smaller than I usually get next time.
