Awesome! Best backpack I’ve ever owned
The Troubadour Apex Leather is hands-down the best backpack I’ve ever owned. The combination of premium materials and sleek design makes it perfect for both work and travel. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear, even when fully packed, thanks to the padded straps and breathable back panel.Organization is a breeze with its smartly designed pockets and spacious main compartment-everything has its place, and my laptop feels super secure. The waterproof, recycled fabric and vegan leather accents look fantastic and hold up beautifully against daily wear. This backpack is not only stylish and professional, but also built to last. If you want a bag that’s as functional as it is good-looking, the Apex Leather is worth every penny! Highly recommended.

Stylish, comfortable, and tons of space!
I have been lugging around my laptop, work gear, and odds & ends in a clunky, shapeless shoulder bag for years. I finally decided I deserved an upgrade and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the Apex 3.0. This bag has a surprisingly large capacity, yet is sleek and comfortable. It is made of super high quality materials that have kept their shape and color despite me using this day in, day out. My kids spilled a smoothie on the outside and it wiped right off, and the bag still looks great. I love the phone pocket on the shoulder strap, and can stash away my small stuff (watch, cash, AirPods) in any of the small secure internal pockets. I would absolutely buy this again (although I don’t think I’ll need to since it seems to last forever…). Get yourself an Apex 3.0! You won’t be disappointed.

Compact and Stylish
I love this bag even for the price. I know the price is steep but the quality is insanely good and it is comfortable. I would say the quality equates the price. This one is a smaller backpack, it can probably fit a 13in laptop but it will be a snug fit - so anything bigger definitely won't fit.I usually travel with just an 11in iPad pro and that fits perfectly fine. It can holds a light jacket and a water bottle on the inside (and some snacks) but it would be difficult to fit a whole outfit.I do think the water bottle holders on the side don't really hold a water bottle. They are pretty small and tight.Sliding it under an airplane seat leaves plenty of foot room because it is a compact bag. I used to travel with a standard size backpack and the under-seat storage always left it hanging out a little, taking up my foot space, but this one does not. It is a little stiff but I acquaint that to the newness. If you are looking for a compact, stylish, work/ travel backpack - then this is probably for you (if you are willing to pay the high price)

Expensive, modern, sleek, but heavy and black hole interior
Similar to other reviews, I was drawn to this backpack because of its sleek, modern, and minimalist aesthetic. However, although I ordered the navy, what arrived was the Black (no biggie, as black is versatile as well). It fits a 16-17inch laptop and iPad + accessories; however, the empty bag itself is already heavy enough due to the materials, zippers, etc. The deep black interior and pockets make it difficult to locate items within quickly and efficiently, and does not have adequate room for a jacket, sweater, or other layered clothing you’d like to store if it gets to hot or cool with changing temperatures. The cell phone pocket is also not useful for standard smart phones of the era. For the steep price, other brands and companies offer more for the price and specifications.

Loved it - but went with Pioneer 3.0 instead
I got both the Apex 3.0 and the Pioneer 3.0 to compare in person. I ended up going with the Pioneer, which I've give 4.5 stars, compared with the 4.0 starts for the Apex. What I was looking for: I wanted to consolidate two bags; my work briefcase and my gym bag. The Apex could not accomplish that, the Pioneer could. However, I wish there was a way to merge features from both into one bag.The Apex:Likes:- Lots of Colourways (Obsidian Green is beautiful, refined, sophisticated, but still unique and fun)- High quality details and materials: Zipper pulls; ruberized waterproof zippers, leather accents, stitching, etc. all top quality. The most refined backpack at this pricepoint available- Dedicated laptop/tech compartment. I cannot stress enough how nice of a feature this is. Laptop/tablets have their own well-padded compartment.- Straps are comfortable, addjustable (with a high-quality fabric pullstrap)- Horizontal front pocket. (better, when compared to the vertical slash pocket on the P3.0)Dislikes:- No dedicated shoe compartment (such the Pioneer 3.0)- Size: even though it is technically larger in capactiy than the P3.0, I found it to be more difficult to fit the same amount of stuff in. I think the separate shoe pocket in the Pioneer made it easier to access and organize stuff- When the bag is full, the water bottle pockets at the side are a little insecure; I found my waterbottle didn't fit in snugly and was hard to slip in and out.Utlimately, as I said, this one is going back and I'm sticking with the P3.0 because it was easier to dig stuff out and fit more stuff in: Gym shoes, shorts, shirt, toilety bag, gym towel, plus all my work stuff - 17" laptop, folders, stationery organizers, notebook, etc.
