InSinkEratorPower 0.75HP Garbage Disposal, Black

I needed to replace an older (23years) model of the insinkerator and since I had such good luck wanted the same model. unfortuneatly they no longer make that one and this was the model that was suggested as a replacement.Pros:1. seems well built2. easy to install3. runs quietly4. cord easy to install just slide in place and screw in place and ready to gocons:1.(not really a con just a warning) since it is a solid built disposal it does have some weight to it so don't expect some light weight unit to lift up while installing. not a problem for the average person but if you are on the weak side might need someone to lift it into place when mounting it.2. as others have said you have to buy their cord to install, would be nice if they just packaged a cord with the unit and give you a choice between motes with a cord or hard wired. I know most units of any brand no longer come with cords but since you have to use their easy mount cord and can not use a generic cord they really should package it with the unit even if it cost a few bucks moreconclusion: very happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good home disposal unit.

Great disposal. Relatively easy to install except for the retaining spring ring holding the under sink flange. Used my tire scissor jack from our car to raise it into position for install. The motor unit seems to be of high quality. Packaging was excellent, we liked that the compressed molded paper could be composted and there was no styrofoam! Also of note you still had to buy a power cord. ( the cheaper unit has the power cord included). The rubber gasket also was not included, requiring the use of plumbers putty. Works great and is quite.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old Badger garbage disposal that rusted out and was leaking. It used the same mounting bracket to putting it on was easy. The power required a special adapter which I hard wired on. Overall I am happy with it. It is powerful but quiet at the same time. This one has stainless steel components so it shouldn’t rust out like my older one.

Replaced a old Badger 5 that finally gave out after ~15 years. Install was very easy and fit perfectly with the existing collar on the sink and plumbing. I was worried the drain would be too close to the new unit (since it's slightly larger than a Badger) but it fit without any issues. New disposal works how you'd expect. It's slightly quieter than the old Badger it replaces.
