I ordered this Dr Botanical Health Calcium Bentonite Clay Powder to use for skin care. I like to make face masks by mixing the clay powder with hyaluronic acid toner. I find that 1/2 tsp of the powder is the perfect amount to use without wasting any. It is my intention to prevent dryness afterwards by including hyaluronic acid. I've done this a few times now and feel like it is very helpful. In the past, I mixed bentonite clay with water or apple cider vinegar and experienced tight skin afterwards. My skin is not oily on a regular basis so taking measures to add a moisturizing ingredient works for me. Someone who has oily skin may not feel the need to do this. I find that bentonite clay masks quickly clear up my skin imperfections. It's my secret weapon when I need to clear up my skin in a hurry. Instead of trying to rinse the clay mask off in the sink, I prefer to hop in the shower because it takes quite a bit of work to thoroughly remove a clay mask from the skin. I follow up with a facial cleanser to ensure my skin is clean and then apply a good moisturizer to restore any moisture that has been drawn out by the clay. Dr Botanical Health Calcium Bentonite Clay is food-grade if you choose to ingest it. I have not done so.

So i used this on my face and left it about 20 mins, washing off with warm water was easy. I honestly didnt feel much difference longterm. So i used it at night but by morning my skin felt just as oily as normal. I will try using this more often around my cycle when my skin acts up. I cant say i dont hate it but i maybe expected more

I like having bentonite clay around the house for various needs and I am very pleased that it's food grade too!It mixes well and multipurpose. Natural and effective. Good quality too. I'm very happy with it.

I got this to use for a face mask. My skin feels nice and tight after using it, it feels like it absorbed excess oils on the skin as it's supposed to and left my skin feeling squeaky clean. I used a moisturizer afterwards.As a tip, if you try to tear only half the foil off the opening, you can use the foil as a leveler for evenly measured scoops. For face masks you use a 2:1 ratio of water to clay. I found 1TSP clay and 2TSP of water was a perfect amount for a face mask without any excess waste of the product.It is unscented except the natural clay smell, which is not too strong.
