Extremely fun game that comes with all of the essentials for deck building!
My girlfriend and I have really enjoyed this game and is a perfect way to wind down the night on week days. We both come from many years of playing Magic, both constructed and limited but we were looking for something new and this is it! I know that Android: Netrunner is now dead but we both enjoy the idea of working from a fixed pool of cards and there are more than enough cards out there to keep us busy for years to come! This is also an easy game to teach with anyone who has experience in previous TCGs.

Put down your baby games like mtg, yugioh , pokemon... Try this.
The game is sooooooo gooooooood. I wish I had more friends to play with. But if you don't feel like investing in physical product, you can always play for free at jinteki … google it.

Challenging Fun
I heard great things about this games so I bought it for my boyfriend and myself to learn together. We are both intellectuals and this fit our tastes perfectly. It also brought out or competitive side!

Different from a typical trading card game but still worth a play!
I picked up this version of Android Netrunner around Christmas to play with some family. Having never played Netrunner before, and being a big fan of Magic: The Gathering and Richard Garfield I was excited to see that he designed this game as well. Overall I would say we enjoyed the experience but maybe need to spend more time with the game and purchase more cards. My brother and I started with the tutorial experience that provided recommended decklists for the two players. After playing a few games we appreciated the design of the asymmetric gameplay. One player takes the role of Runner (hacker) and the other is a Corporation. Each side has unique mechanics and goals to achieve victory. The corporation creates a field of traps (ICE) to protect vital agendas that can be advanced to score victory points. The Runner's job is to break through these traps and attempt to steal the agendas for themselves and thus scoring their own victory points. The game takes good advantage of bluffing and misdirection and I'm sure is fun to play with different people. The gameplay loop started to feel a little stale after a few games as I felt the same things kept happening. So we moved on from the tutorial decks and decided to build our own. As a living card game, the box includes what they consider to be the full core set. You can build many different decks with what's included and unlike a trading card game you don't need to collect randomized booster packs to grow your collection. Expansions include all the cards available in that set just like the core set does. Even after building my own deck I felt the game was getting a little stale but maybe picking up an expansion or two helps that. I also mostly spent time as a Runner so maybe switching sides would prevent the tedium of doing the same thing over and over. Overall I think this is a great card game and definitely worth picking up and trying.

New favorite game
Never heard of Netrunner until I saw it by scrolling through Fantasy Flights website. I watched a video on it and grabbed a copy immediately. Everyone I play it with loves the game as well.

Poor Condition
The product itself is great, but when it got to my house, the outside box was in terrible condition.

Beware
I'm not giving this one star because it is a bad game, but because it is monsterously overpriced now. I understand the license ran out and it is out of print, however these sellers did not buy their copies at an exuberant price. They are just cashing in now that the game is OOP. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't need multiple copies to properly play the game.

ive been playing game my entire life from chess to D&D and other RPGs and everything in between. i had started playing Magic the gathering, arguably the first card game not long after it released. soon after Netrunner came out and i played that and still have the cards. while Magic is more popular, ive always felt that this is a better designed game, and one of my favourites still, which is why i bought this. this is the most recent version of Netrunner core game, everything you need to start playing. there are some changes to the overall play from the original Netrunner of the 90s such as the introduction of specific corporations and runners which act like the colours in Magic, making you choose a faction that affects the playstyle of the cards available to you. if you had the Android Netrunner Core set from FFG, this one has some new cards the old one didnt, such as corp and runner identities, but also has many of the same cards such as ice etc. in the game one player is the runner and the other is the corporation. the corp tries to secretly advance their agendas to take over while the runner hacks the corps servers to uncover the corps evil agendas. the game includes everything you need for both a runner and a corp deck, with an assortment of cards for each faction, so you can get an good idea of what corporate or runner identity you want to play. there are many strategies and tricks that can be used to win so youre not going to get bored. the rule book is descriptive and has pictures for everything for those who have never played. it'll take a game or 2 as both the runner and the corp to get the hang of this game, as the playstyle and strategies for both sides are completely different, its almost as if both players are playing different games. the game mechanics are intricate and well thought out, with simple rules that may seem a bit confusing at first because the game is so different than others, and it uses its own terminology for your hand and discard piles etc. you are also able to play the game simply, but the depth of strategy you care to employ is endless between deck building and playing. you can go further and build custom decks with the cards but you'll probably want to buy some of the expansions to get new and better cards to do that. unlike magic this is not a collectable card game, you buy and expansion and it has 3 of each card in the set, no rares or trying to find the super rare card you need. the expansions are not included. while this game is amazing and has decent following the company that made it lost the licence and competitive play and new expansions will cease in october 2018. dont let it stop you from getting this, as this core set stands on its own with 3 pre-made runner decks and 4 pre-made corp decks you'll get tons of use before you even start building your own decks with these cards, let alone needing to hunt down expansions. ive only been using the core set to play with my friends and get them into it and im not sure we've had the same matchup yet.

Android Netrunner is the best card game I have played. The tutorial decks will ease you into the game play and then deck building is fun to explore the beautiful asymmetry between the two players of the game.

What a great card game, too bad Fantasy Flight Games lost the license to continue producing this great game. The game itself is a 2v2 card game but each side players differently. Overall playability is great as well but I bought the last big box expansion (see other review Terminal Directive) to add even more cards to build decks from. After playing this game I went and visited game stores to get my hands on a few expansion packs of 60 cards(3 copies of 20 cards are in each pack). I really love this game.
