Out of all the kettles on AMAZON, this is the BEST ONE!!!!
**** 02/06/2023 Edit****5 years later this kettle works just as well as the day I bought it. My original review still holds true. Exceeded my expectations and hopes! Don’t hesitate.______________________________________This is by far the BEST kettle I could have bought. I really wanted a kettle with temperature control since I mainly drink tea, I wanted a glass one since its the healthiest (looks the classiest too), I wanted something that was not easy to break or burn me (this has double wall made out of plastic which does not touch the water but keeps it safe from bumps and getting burned, I actually put my hands on it when it's boiling just to warm them up), and I wanted something that will last me a long time (it comes with a manufacuter 1 year warrenty). This is the only kettle that met ALL of my needs and trust me I looked online for weeks before I bought one... a little OCD. Overall I couldn't have asked for anything better and I'm not sure why more people have not invested in this one. Some people are saying the lid can be a problem, but I feel that the manufacturer changed the lids because I have not had any problems with it and I use it every day!

leaks?
I bought this kettle for my office. It is a lot larger than I anticipated (which is my own fault for not reading dimensions). It is loud. I have heated my water up 3 times to 195 degrees, and each time from about 130 degrees to 195 it gets really loud. Not a whistle or anything like a normal kettle but the sound of steam and the kettle heating up are loud for a work enviornment.I could deal with the noise, but the main problem is that it leaks. Each time after I've heated the water and poured some in my mug, I place the kettle back on the heating element. Each time I've used it, water has leaked out of it somehow at the base. There is standing water under the heating element on my desk. Not a few drops, but a rather large puddle that needed a few paper towels. I'm not sure how this is happening since the bottom of the kettle itself is dry, as is the top of the heating element. Regardless, standing water under a heating element that is plugged into electricity is a recipe for disaster. I am returning this item.

It does not get rust easily like CASO Germany or Breville. Temperature Control and Blue LED lighting for when ON.
I love it! After trying, CASO Germany and Breville electric kettle, and I have to say hand down to this one. I always test the electric kettle by boil water when firstly open the box; then leave it un-touch and boil the same water again after water cools down. CASO Germany and Breville shows rust on the stainless steel boiling needle and surface. However, BREVO doesn't show signs of rust on its stainless steel. We had very hard water in Tucson; thus it often reveals calcium carbonate deposits when boiling. I would have to clean it more often to remove these deposits, which is very common if you leave it hard water area. Don't return because you see these signs of deposits left on the wall or bottom of the kettle. It's your hard water! Very well-built, and I highly recommended this product.P.S. the temperature control is a plus too. :-) ... I'm not hard core tea drinker so that I haven't mess with it yet, but I do plan to test it out when making my instant coffee.

Great kettle! I fixed the excessive beeping!
Overall I really love this kettle and I looked around for quite a while and tried different ones and I am really pleased! I love the lights when you turn it on and it feels like a good quality unit. Like others though I HATED all the beeping. So I thought I would post how I fixed it. I’m an electrical engineer but you don’t have to be to do this. You can pretty easily open up the handle (it isn’t glued) where the circuit boards are. You will find a little black round piezo buzzer that does the beeping. Just clip off one leg (or both) and pull it out. I just clipped one and left it in. Then just work the circuit boards back in place and snap the black handle back down..and all done! No more beeps and it is fabulous! Also, the clear sides do stay cool but the top metal part gets really hot, but not a big deal really.

Great Kettle! HORRIBLE LID! Homemade alteration solved issue.
The media could not be loaded. We've had many of these kettles over many years and have used them all day, everyday until they died. We have been using this Brevo for over a week now (June 2018). It is offered at a good price and has all the features I like -- it's relatively quick, clear, looks great (blue LEDs let you know when it is on), and has a built in thermometer for achieving proper temps. The double wall and 'keep warm' options are welcome bonuses, as well. The button gives a loud beep each time you activate it, but even after a week it doesn't bother me a bit.The LID, however, often STICKS. I can press the 'open' button in ever-increasing frustration many times to no avail -- but since I'm applying 'downward' pressure in order to retract the detent... well, that defeats the purpose, doesn't it? By the time I release the downward pressure, the detent button is also released and catches again. It can be maddening, especially in the morning when it happens most often. And even when the lid opens, it doesn't open terribly wide.I don't like to return and be without something that I use all day, every day if I can somehow fix it. So, I stuck an adhesive wall hook on top (see video). Hey -- it looks funny, but it works for now. May have to superglue a better looking knob in the future if the hook's adhesive fails due to heat. Hope it lasts.Great kettle! ...but that poorly designed lid really kills it.______________________________________________________30-day Update: The sticking lid has actually gotten worse. However, my homemade lid alteration (simple adhesive wall hook), has solved the issue brilliantly!!!! ...therefore the awful, non-releasing lid is no longer annoying. I'm adding another star because the kettle works very well. I would give it 5 stars if the lid was properly designed and didn't require me to "re-design" it...
