Before you do that, have you considered how you're going to hang your target? No doubt you are an excellent shot and never miss the target... But what about your buddies? You won't be shooting at your steel targets for long unless you have a strong, durable way to hang them. Your steel target system is only as good as the weakest link, and the weakest link is typically the mounting system. Bullets (especially rifle bullets) have a habit of breaking stuff. Most chains and bolts are going to break on the first stray hit. This kit is different and includes everything you need to hang your target for durable, long lasting, shooting fun. Rather than chains, we use lengths of heavy duty, industrial, 2-ply rubber conveyor belt. Your stray shots will pass through the belting with minimal damage, allowing them to take many hits before needing replacement. The rubber straps won't rust. They won't cause dangerous ricochets. And they make a different sound when struck, which makes it easy to tell if you actually hit the target or not. Rather than use cheap generic hardware, we use high-strength grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers. These won't deform or break easily when hit, giving you much longer service life. Nyloc nuts won't easily loosen. The zinc plated finish helps resists corrosion in the outdoors. This kit is designed to work with most AR500 gong targets with 2 mounting holes. The included 3/8" hardware suits targets with round mounting holes sized 3/8" to 7/16". Suitable for targets weighing up to 20 lbs, and with a thickness of 1/2" or less.
