Not without flaws but still very handy...
I've taken to making my own homemade scented candles and wax melts recently and I knew I was going to need to tins to hold all of my creations. I ordered this box of them as the 42 pack size would last me awhile considering they are 7 oz cans. They arrived tucked into a box in two layers with foam in between those layers. Overall the tins look just fine, though, if you look close you can see some minor scratches and definite scuffing on most of them due to being packed together with nothing between them and each other. The good thing is that the thermal label stickers I print cover up most of the scuffs on the lids and marks on the bottoms. The tins are lightweight and the metal is on the thin side. Filling it with wax makes everything feel a lot sturdier. One of the things that I love about these tins are the screw on/off lids. They make everything feel so much more secure especially when storing pretty molded wax melts in them. These tins can fit a maximum of 7 oz but I've found that 6 oz of wax for a candle works the best and leaves some room for your wicks. And yes, I discovered that I do mean wicks. My first attempt had issues when the candle was lit so I did some research and found out that the size of the tin requires at least 2 wicks to prevent tunneling and eventual guttering. When the tins are full of freshly poured wax they do get very hot so having silicone oven mitts is a real benefit when handling them. My initial plan was to use these tins for items that I sell at craft shows in addition to my own items and ones that I gift to people, and I will still do that but will have to pick and choose which ones have less marks on them and/or the marks can be easily covered with labels. The included labels seem to be decent quality and I like the decorative shape to them. They do not fit on the side of the tin but carefully placed do nicely on the lid. The two white markers work OK and only take a couple of minutes or so to dry. For candles and wax melts I will probably just use my thermal printed labels and save the others for personal item storage where I don't have to handwrite out entire ingredient lists etc. Anyway, I would have preferred less scuffs and marks on them but I will definitely still be getting plenty of use out of these handy little tins...

Thin skinned but perfect for my projects!
Since everything old is new again, as they say, I've recently taken up decoupage as a hobby. I selected this set of 42 seven ounce tins to practice on and to use as small gifts, assuming they turn out well enough. I haven't yet tried them for this purpose but I'm very pleased with the quantity. The tins are thin but as I'll be adding a layer of material with glue, it will add some needed structure and cover up any nicks and scratches. The lids screw on so that makes these nice as well. I can see so many uses for these and so much variety. For my quilting friends, I'll add some appropriate design and pop in an assortment of needles, thread and maybe a nice thimble. For my fishing buddy, I'll probably go with gummy worms since I don't know the first thing about fishing and he has just about everything anyone could possibly want in terms of that sport already. For my cooking afficionados, a few herbs and spices perhaps. The possibilities are endless and I'll have a grand time putting these together. Great find!

Good sample size
I got these to do sample versions of my candles. It's a good size for that. I used to use a silver version of these so glad I found these in black to match my brand. Now I just have to find the perfect wick size to use with them. Comes with black labels if you need them, and white markers to write on then.Has some type of foam or paper piece in the inner top. Not sure if these are meant to stay in or not. I'm going to do testing before giving these to customers.

Perfect size for candle making and more!
These are great little tins. I ordered them for candle making, and I’ve found myself using them for all kinds of other things around the house. The only thing I really dislike about them is that they’re slightly flimsy because they’re a little on the thin side, but other than that, they do exactly as promised. The lids fit well and go on and off easily. I’ve made several candles in these and they’ve all passed the safety test that I conduct before making larger batches. I would definitely use these for large batches and I appreciate the affordability. They’re also great for organizational purposes. I’ve been using them for smaller items at my desk, such as paper clips, push pins, etc. They would also be handy in the kitchen for measuring, baking and more. I love items that are easy to use for multiple purposes around the house, and these do just that!

Great jars!
My girlfriend started candle making for a new hobby and after getting the 4oz jars that we really liked. we would get these bigger ones that are the same just bigger. like my review on those we love the these black jars and the labels that are great for a chalk pen they are simple jars that look nice for handmade candles. the lid is great to keep the dust out and keep the candles smelling good! We did alto use a few of these to make paw balm for the dogs and these work great for that too small and medium dog paws fit great in the opening so you can just rub their paw right on the jar!
