JIHAQUA Stainless Steel Extensible Snake Hook 39 inch, Retractable Reptile Hook, Pick-up Handling Tool (39 inch)

I had a random rattlesnake visit my side yard last week and I couldn’t find my snake hook pictured on this post. I have two of them and had to use a gopher apparatus to pick him up to relocate him to a new home. I later found the hook and decided to buy another one to keep near the door. I have used this hook before, several times and it works great. It’ll easily pick up a four foot rattlesnake safely. I recommend this to everyone. Thanks.

This is a great size for my 16" snake. He doesn't mind it at all. I love that it extends but is still sturdy. Could be more rounded on the very end to be gentler. Just be cautious. I may grind it a bit more smooth.

I always carry the hook when backpacking or car camping. I last used it when a sidewinder rattlesnake came through our camp. Just picked him/her up, walked about 50 yards, and released.

Good product

The media could not be loaded. Used this product while looking for Burmese Pythons in Florida. One of the hooks had the actual hook part become disconnected almost immediately, but the second one held up fine throughout the trip. Worked quite well for moving venomous Cottonmouths off of the road, but definitely would not hold up for larger snakes. If you need a snake hook for more permanent use I would invest in something sturdier, but in a pinch this product ended up being pretty serviceable, especially for the price.

This hook is very fragile and not durable. It broke within days , we didn’t try to pick up heavy items
