Can I use this ointment for sunburn?

I would not use it for sunburned skin. It is meant to protect skin from pressure sores. It is GREAT for that use. It is a thick cream and a little hard to wash off. Strongly advise against using for a sunburn!

Is there a generic for calmosetine?

Yes. Walgreens has a generic one. Not as thick but works great.

What is color of cream?

pink, almost the color of pepto Bismol.

My hands are always red from chafing. Will this take the redness out?

i don’t think so, eucerin cream would probably work better.
