I don’t know if it’s made in America but it’s sure pretty. My boyfriends mom loved it.

I don’t know the answer for your question. I bought it for my grandson who is 7 years old who puts the rosary under his pillow every night. I don’t think he will be trying to take shower wearing the rosary. It’s very well made and very pretty.
