It would become red, itchy, and even start peeling. It got so bad that I could only wear it for a day at a time, then had to go weeks without it. Eventually, I just gave up and sold the watch.Last year, I decided to try a fitness tracker again and went with a Fitbit. That worked fine and didn’t irritate my skin at all. But since I have an iPhone, I always felt like I was missing out on features that an Apple Watch offers.A couple of months ago, my Fitbit stopped working, and I was stuck deciding if I wanted to deal with the rashes again or give up the extra features. My mom rarely uses her Apple Watch, so before buying a new one, I figured I would test out Nickel Guard. I had seen mixed reviews, so I honestly did not have high expectations.At first, I had a little trouble with the coating sticking to the charger a few hours after it dried, but after those first few uses, it worked perfectly. It goes on just like nail polish, which makes it really easy to apply and reapply.I ended up getting an Apple Watch again and applied Nickel Guard immediately. Now it has been a little over three weeks, and I cannot recommend this product enough. I have had zero irritation. Yes, you do have to reapply it occasionally, but that is a trade-off I am more than happy to make to wear my watch comfortably.If you have ever gotten a rash from the Apple Watch sensor, I would absolutely recommend trying this.
