High Quality House With Advanced Camera Features!
I purchased this birdhouse for my wife's birthday, and he loves it. It has been hund and the solar powered camera installed, however we don't expect inhabitants until the nesting season that begins in early spring. The customer service is first rate - they helped when I struggled with selecting the correct camera app to install on my Android phone. It may seem a bit pricey, but for a turn-key system that includes everything needed to witness the miracle of bird nesting and hatching, you won't be disappointed! One small easy to correct issue is there is no hole predrilled for the cable to enter into the house to plug into the camera. The manufacture indicates this has been corrected on future versions of this birdhouse. To add a small hole - using a serrated edge knife, CAREFULLY saw a small notch in either an edge of the door or the door frame, just large enough for the cable to pass through. See attached pictures. You could also drill a small hole just large enough for the USB plug end to pass through.

Such a cute little house. Perfect to turn into artwork!
This little bird house is designed to house a camera to peek in on birds, but it's also perfect for transforming into a work of art with paint and mosaic tiles. (Technically, it can do both.)Nice sturdy build, with two options for camera placement (see photo.)Just a tad on the pricey side for what it is, but still a nice product.

NOT RECOMMENDED!
The android app "can't be found" on Google Play, rendering a $200 unit the equivalent of a $25 plain jane birdhouse. This was a gift, and the return window closed two months before the gift was given. If I could get the camera working, it would need to be removed and recharged on a regular basis. Removal would entail significant disturbance of the nesting area. The access door for cleaning is too small for convenient maintenance.

Pros and cons
This is a fairly large bird house that appears to be well-constructed. By well-constructed, I am referring to my belief that it could provide a nice outdoor home to birds and hold together. I need to wait to confirm that. Meanwhile, I do have some concerns. I am not convinced that this house is waterproof. The wood feels raw. I plan to paint and stain it with a waterproof sealer. The wood also feels rough. When I hold it, I feel like I could easily get splinters. I plan to sand the wood. There are two hinged back doors that open, but I find the hardware to be just ok. Finally, the top camera door on my new house sticks. To open it, I really need to tug on the hardware clasp. In doing so, I can feel the clasp bending. While I look forward to using this house, I will not by another.

Cute, But...
I like the look and design. Not crazy about the branding on the front. Seems like the craftsmanship was a little sloppy on some things. I don't think it will last outside in a tree for very long.I do like the cool feature of being able to hold a camera. Though I think you're getting charged a whole lot extra for that. The price isn't visible right now, but I remember it being pretty high when I ordered it.So, it's a cute birdhouse. May work best under a covered porch or awning? I'd like for it to be a little neater on the manufacturing end, and not just slopped together in places. Maybe made to withstand the elements a little better, and lowered in the digit range.

Bird privacy? Nah.
I ordered this birdhouse for its design and craftsmanship, not for its ability to showcase the inside happenings of its inhabitants. Lol. It's well made and hopefully the birds will use it. I covered up the little window though with a piece of scrap cedar. No birds have selected it yet as their forever home, but I'm hopeful. Different species of birds like different size house dimensions, including the entry hole. I'm guessing a Carolina Wren will take up residence in this one though as they aren't picky at all and will build their nests in the most impractical of places. I'm ok with that though because they're such little characters. Both noisy and funny to watch. If anything nests here soon, I'll try to get a picture and attach it to my review, but all in all, I really like the birdhouse.

Fancy Bird House.
This birdhouse is impressive. It is well built and hopefully will make a great home for a family of birds. This has polyurethane on it so it cannot be painted/stained. Otherwise I would have stained it to match my fence. The positive about that is that its usable right away and should do better against the outside environment. This particular one does NOT come with the camera. This same birdhouse can be sold with a camera so the functionality is there to add it later. The camera they sell in the other model (with a solar panel) is $150. A door opens and the inner ceiling pulls out. You can put a camera on it... and then slide it back in.There is an open window on the side. Some other reviewers don't like this feature. I don't mind it. Lots of birds build nest with no "roof". So a few types of birds may or may not use it because of the window, but others won't mind. If I find its a problem I'll glue clear plexiglass inside keeping it transparent.Overall I'm very happy with the birdhouse. My son will love interacting with it. Eventually we'll put a camera in it, but as of right now an additional $150 is too not happening.
