Rotting window sill repair
I have an old house that always seems to have something in need of repair. I recently purchased this combo pack to help repair a rotting window sill and I must say I am impressed with the results. The wood hardener did a great job of hardening the rot, ensuring a strong foundation for the repair. The Gorilla wood filler was easy to apply and worked like a charm in filling in the damaged area.I appreciated the convenience of having both products in one pack, as it saved me time and effort in searching for separate items. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the repair process smooth and stress-free.Overall, I highly recommend this combo pack for anyone dealing with wood rot or damage in their home. It's a reliable and effective solution that delivers great results.

Works and Almost No Odor
I am repairing 125 year old rotted wood old growth fir window sills. PC Hardener soaks right into the wood and hardens in a few hours. After it drys you can tell if you missed a spot by sticking your finger nail or a screw driver in to see if in resists. Easy to apply to a horizontal surface. You need a brush for vertical surfaces where it tends to drip or narrower areas like window trim that is fluted. I bought a box of cheap chip brushes to work with the hardener. Virtually no odor! I bought the smaller size 32 oz to see how it worked and how far it would go. Photos are before and after on west and east facing windows and typical of the rotted weathered sills on my house [30" wide 6" deep] with deep cracks, some of which go almost al the way trough 2" thick wood. One 32oz container hardened four window sills and the 24oz PC Woody epoxy filler set was enough to fill those four sills. Easy to clean up spatulas and hands with denatured alcohol. Easy to sand the epoxy with 80 grit sandpaper. It feels like a great surface to paint too.

OK performer, but thin and runny, and not as good as the Elmer's Glue brand wood hardener
This is an OK wood hardener. It's very similar to the one made by Elmer's Glue with the exception that this is thinner, and requires using more to get the wood fully saturated. It's also far more prone to run when using on a vertical surface compared with Elmer's.It is a little cheaper than the Elmer's version, and seems to work as well provided that you use an ample amount. It does work, but next time I'll get the Elmer's version since that is thicker, easier to work with, and a better value (even though it costs more since you need to use less). 3.5 stars.

It really works and at a great price too
I live in a mobile home- once you get past the ick Factor associated with mobile homes they're really a very good way to secure housing where I live as apartments are extremely expensiveSomeone decided to make all the subfloors inobile homes out of MDF which is that garbage stuff made of sawdust and some kind of binder. The subfloors fail in everybody's motorhome and it is not inexpensive to have it repaired.I really love this product because when I apply it directly to that garbage MDF it makes it hard probably harder than it was when manufactured. When I see the MDF getting kind of soft I apply this miracle stuff and I live to fight another day.It makes repairs so much easier and less expensive and at $10 a bottle I've also used it to repair my wooden porch and I'm thinking there's probably a great many things I could use it on.I thnk virtually everyone should have a bottle of this under their sink.Hopefully they don't have MDF subfloors but they probably have some wooden patio furniture a deck or planters that this product will easily repair!I recommend it to everyone and I think if you buy it you will find it extremely useful.

Amazing Product For Rotted Wood
This product is meant to be used for wood that is rotted or starting to rot. I read one review in which claimed that it was like water and ran down the board. It isn't meant to be used on healthy wood. I have exterior staircase all wood that have started to rot where the screws were put in. I have followed the instructrions and used a screw driver to pull out all of the rotted wood and made sure what was left was dry. I have used a glass spray bottle and a squirt bottle to put on to both small areas and large areas of rot. This product soaks into the wood like a sponge - you have to let it dry and then reapply until the product pools in the area where there is rot. The next step after treating the rotted wood with this product is to use PC Products 2 part epoxy to then fill the area or hole where the wood was rotted. I was looking at close to $5,000 in replacement costs for the stairs and deck. I did replace approximately 12 boards that could not be saved. The rest are all being treated with the two products and the results are absolutely amazing. Even if I only get another 5 years out of the stairs and deck I will be happy. But now that I know what the problem is I am working to stop the rot before it has a chance to spread. I am guessing the overall cost to me for materials will be $600 which is well worth it. It is labor intensive so it is not for lazy people who would rather pay someone to just replace the wood.

amazing hardness in only one application
I had some new bondo and it was not hardening rotted post with several applications over course of an hour, i could still put fingernail through and then I ordered this for board beside it. Hardened in one single application. This stuff is great, does what it is supposed to do.

Not as advertised.
This product gives a nice durable repair but can sag a lot when used on vertical surfaces. I repaired a water damaged door stile baseball-sized but had to do it in 5 stages because of sagging. I finished the surface using Bondo. I thought this would be better than Bondo because of a longer working time and it was advertised as non-sagging. I had to create a masking tape barrier to hold in the product til it hardened. Would have used a thin layer of plywood pinned to repair site or other device with tape covering if had known how it would sag. Finished product turned out great after final sanding and painting.

It works - get some
This product has worked very well on all the outside rotten wood I have used it on - which is a lot cause I live in Alabama (aka the bama-zon). Very easy to pour on rotten wood, makes it very hard and adds to the lifespan.
