It's super quiet but batteries didn't last long

I have liked this trashcan since getting it. I was looking to buy one with a foot pedal-controlled lid but opted for this instead. I like that the motion controls work, so long as you follow the instructions, and lightly kicking the can also opens the lid.The motor for the lid is quiet and fast. Battery life seems great. I have been using this for months and the batteries it came with are still working. I haven't had any mechanical issues with the can. I knocked 1 start off for sturdiness as the whole can is plastic. You can kick it to open the lid and there's some bounce to the can itself. I'm not sure if the plastic will hold up over time.The capacity seems accurate though the opening is small. I would have liked for a lid that extruded from the top instead of taking up space for the opening. There was a plastic piece I couldn't figure out what to do with and there weren't instructions in my box. I think it has something to do with plastic bags, but I don't think it's necessary. The whole thing came pre-assembled aside from that plastic piece.My only other complaint is the label. Why does it say "Inteligent Wastebin" on it? No label would have been better. I've tried removing the label, but there was significant residue under it, so I haven't tried removing it again. I should get some Googone and just take it off as the label really makes it look cheap.Overall, though, this is a solid wastebin with a stable lid that quietly operates. It fits exactly where I wanted it to go and both motion and kicking controls work. It looks a little cheap, but that can be fixed with a paint job.

I've used other similar kitchen-sized cans before and love them just because I think they're more hygienic. This one works like expected in that respect but it also opens when you kick it. I haven't seen that before but like it.I keep going back and forth between four and five stars on it though, and it's primarily because the pictures are very deceptive. They photo shopped it into a lot of different rooms and it's not scaled properly in any of them. Four gallons is not big. It's not even the size of my regular bathroom trash can. I actually got this as a disposal unit for adult briefs, thinking the bin could just be emptied once per day or when the contents necessitated it, if you know what I mean. Nope. It holds exactly one. Because of that, I really don't have a use for this. I like how it works. It's just not useful at this size. Not for anything in my house at all.It also requires batteries, which I don't see listed anywhere in the description.So, I am removing a star based on the misleading images and lack of battery info. It works though.

Batteries get drained quite quickly so the lid gets stuck open, but the sensors are very strong and it doesn't close too quickly unlike other brands.

Great size for the countertop which was exactly I was looking for. Works great, never any issue. It requires 2 x AAA batteries that doesn’t come with it, thankfully we had some. Cleans easy!

I'll be honest, this is my first purchase of a trash can with a sensor, and I wasn't sure what to expect. It works. It takes two AA batteries which are not included. I put the batteries in the trash can, and it opens automatically. The sensor is responsive. It opens when you place your hand over the sensor, and it closes automatically. It's small. The plastic isn't particularly thick, but it's thick enough that it doesn't seem like it would break under normal usage in a private home. We're using it in the main bathroom at home, and it's functioning as advertised. For the money, I suppose I expected a little bit more, but it seems to be priced close to other products that are similar. Overall, I'm pleased with it. It's nice to have the trash under a closed lid without having to make contact with the lid. It's doing its job.
