Great for a spotting scope

Very Nice Case - Latches Could be Improved
I purchased this case to use for some firearms items and the size was perfect but it was deeper than I expected (~5 inches). So there is a lot of pickpull foam to work with but what I don't like about that kind of foam is you pull out a complete hole. So a 2" foam layer you're pulling out 2" holes to put something in. I guess it would work for some applications but wasn't good for mine. I purchased some 1" polyethylene foam which is more rigid and got the application I really wanted. What I don't like are the secure clasps which when unlocked, flop down so opening the case cover you have to quickly flip the latches and open the case. Kind of convoluted..,I wish the latches would stay in an open position once you've released them.

This mechanical design engineer is very pleased
Very nice case that's worth every penny for those who can afford it. I'm using mine for a nice jigsaw plus two blade sets and a stubby screwdriver (to tighten/loosen blade clamp). With a little "plucking" it looks like it was custom made specifically for that purpose.
