Chrome Stand for Traditional & Classic Series Safety Razors & Shaving Brushes | Shave Accessory | Modern Design

I bought this after buying the R89 Grande razor and M89 traditional silvertip BADGER brush. It is a fantastic looking and functioning set! This stand replaced an old Colonel Conk stand that was very decent but nowhere near the quality. This little Muhle stand weighs more than the much bigger and uglier Conk stand. It is amazing how heavy and elegant this little Muhle stand is. It works great for the R89 Grande. FYI: Out of curiosity I tried my Merkur 38c HD (which I hate because it is too heavy and never use) in it and it would not fit because the razor didn't have a long enough neck. My old standby Merkur 23C did fit in it nicely but it is being retired for the R89 Grande razor. My old standard wooden badger brush fit in it too but at the knot, while it hung by the handle knob on the taller conk stand. I can see how some type/sizes of brush may not fit in this due to length or size, but it works great for my brush. Yolo! Muhle stuff is expensive but high quality. Besides, with brandon's failed economy and inflation, the price will probably be twice as much next year!

This is great quality and fits the TRADITIONAL line perfectly. Make sure you have the TRADITIONAL razor and brush!

Original, fulfills its purpose. It is not as big as I had imagined, so it sits elegantly beside my sink and holds my R89 and brush neatly.

Like all Muhle products, this stand is designed perfectly. Holds my R41 Razor, and Muhle shaving brush perfectly . Looks great, high quality materials. I highly recommend this product. JT

Very nice, heavy, compact, well-designed stand. I'd previously ordered one of those $15 chrome stands, and there is a world of difference between the two. If you just want a utilitarian razor stand, get one of those. This one is 4X the price and looks it. If you're getting an Edwin Jagger or Muhle razor, the combination will probably be too beautiful to pass up.

Heavy and sturdy. I love it

Nice stand with some heft to it, the craftsmanship seems very good, solid, and the bottom has some soft material so it does not scratch or move from where you set it down on your sink counter. I have one of the Muehle R89 Razors which this stand was designed to hold, I do not believe it will hold other razors as it holds the razor upside down and takes advantage of how the razor handle was designed specifically the razor handle's neck to do this. It seems the stand will work for other brushes than those made by Muehle. I am using a Dovo Silvertip Badger Brush with Micarta handle with the sand without any problem, and will hold other brushes with the standard wide base. All in all I am very pleased with the stand and its construction, it feels like quality piece and would buy it again.

This is a beautiful stand and deserves 5 stars, but the Q&A section incorrectly stated that this would fit an Edwin Jagger DE89 handle; be warned that it does NOT fit the Edwin Jagger DE89 (with lined detail handle: http://amzn.com/B002RBF1PO). There was also another reviewer who referred to this stand and Edwin Jagger handles pairing nicely. This may be true for other EJ handles, but not the DE89. As you can see from the pictures, the difference is less than a millimeter, but it's *just* enough to prevent the handle from sliding into the holder, even with the DE head removed. I can't speak for DE89's with handle styles other than the lined handle, but my guess is they will also not work if they're similar. I can't bring myself to return the stand because it's simply too beautiful; I suppose I will have to upgrade my daily shaver to a handle that will fit this stand. On a positive side note, the Frank's Shaving Synthetic Travel Brush (http://amzn.com/B00BU98E6M) fits perfectly into the holder, matches the chrome beautifully, and costs a fraction of some of the other chromed handle brushes. Plus it's a handy travel brush!

Very high quality, and surprisingly heavy. Also fits a Merkur 15 razor and a middle sized horn handled brush. Makes for a tidy and smart bathroom!

Bellissimo a vederlo in bagno, sembra un soprammobile. Pesante con una lavorazione eccelsa. Abbinato al rasoio R41 Twist e ad un pennello Störtebekker fa la sua figura scenica e risulta compattissimo!!! Può essere riposto anche in un cassetto sotto lavabo perchè è veramente piccolo (altezza minima). Consiglio l'acquisto anche se il prezzo è notevole, ma penso che durerà tutta la vita. Grande Muhle!!!

Ich finde diesen Halter sehr gelungen: Er ist klein, sieht edel aus, ist gut verarbeitet, hat ein vernünftiges Gewicht und steht stabil. Im Halter sieht man einen Mühle R41 Rasierhobel sowie einen Rasierpinsel eines anderen Herstellers, der zwar nicht für diesen Halter ausgelegt ist, aber dennoch ein stimmiges Gesamtbild ergibt. Der Versand erfolgte zügig, die Verpackung war mehr als ausreichend, und der Halter selbst war in einer schönen Mühle-Box untergebracht. Für mich ist dieses schöne Objekt absolut kein Fehlkauf.
