It's not a bad circular polariser
I think at this level most circular polarises are going to have some degree of colour shift and this is no exception. It does the job, sure, but in some cases it does introduce a very very slight colour shift and it's not a big deal to change that in editing but it's just an extra step you have to do.As a budget item I think it's perfectly adequate although I'll be saving up to buy one of the much more expensive branded polarising filters in the future.

Good quality filter at a fair price.
Over the years I have had many polarizing filters of various sizes, some a lot better than others. I have experienced faults such as star effects around bright highlights, hard to turn CPL rings, loose glass and distinct softening of the image - thankfully this Beschoi CPL filter does not exhibit any of these failings. The filter's frame is engineered from a magnesium/aluminium alloy with a black anodized finish. It screws smoothly onto the front of the lens and adds 6mm to the length. Beschoi say this is ultra slim but I've got slimmer CPL filters both smaller and larger than the 62mm diameter of this filter. However it is slim enough not to cause any noticeable vignetting when used with a 24mm (35mm equiv) lens.Images produced using the filter are well saturated and sharp and the polarizing effect works well when conditions are right. The oleophobic coating does a good job of not allowing dust to stick and makes finger prints easy to wipe off. The front ring rotates smoothly, it is stiff enough to stay where it has been set but not so stiff as to be uncomfortable to use.In use the Beschoi CPL filter reduces the amount of light getting through to the film or sensor by around 2 stops without the increase in depth-of-field you would get from a 2 stop reduction in aperture - this can be a pro or a con depending on the subject being photographed. 2 stops is par for the course for most polarizing filters, there are some that will only reduce the light by 1 stop but these are several times more expensive than the Beschoi filter. At the time of this review the price for the Beschoi 62mm CPL filter was £21.39 less a 5% discount voucher which I consider fair for a circular polarizing filter that performs as well as this one does.

► Useful filter specially when filming outdoors in the city
The media could not be loaded. The filter is as described, fits well on my 77 lens and the main purpose of using this in my situation is the fact that I film videos outdoors in the city and there are plenty of reflexsions such as cars, buses, windows and this filter helps to reduce those, not entirely but obviously it is very helpful. Also, it is not that dark and I can set up the camera`s settings to get the right video(iso and specially f stop). The filter is made from good material, once it is on the lens, it stays there for days. The thing is I don't actually see the point of the rotating ring because it doesn't do almost anything to the video.Overall, I would call this a CPL filter that I can count on and by the way, no distortions at the corners even on 20mm lens.

Blurred images, don't recommend
Lens is a Canon RF 600mm F11. Taken many photos with and without the filter (various settings and modes) but all images are blurred and lose significant sharpness when this is fitted.

Fits Perfectly To My OM Systems MFT 20mm Lens
I ordered this as I have been trying to take some good photos of my "Baby" (thats my Jaguar car for those that don't know me, lol). The problem I was getting is that the glare from the sun was weakening the colour and shape so I needed something to take the glare away and this looked like it might do just that.On opening, this lens filter comes nicely packaged and with a cleaning cloth. I removed this filter and held it up to my OM Systems 20mm lens, it looked like a good fit and so I screwed it on which was a lovely smooth action and once tightened I waited for the sun to come out again to take what I hoped would be a great likeness of my "Baby". I waited and waited and waited some more.Unfortunately in the weeks that followed we have had nothing but clouds and rain but I did manage to rush outside for the few minutes that the sun made an appearance, whilst I didn't have enough time to take the shots that I wanted I did manage to see the car in the sun through this filter albeit very briefly and from what I could tell the glare had pretty much been eliminated and the colours looked to be deeper with more pronouncement.I am now waiting once again for some sun at which time I will be using this filter to capture my car for prosperity after a good wash and polish of course, lol.Overall, this is a well made lens filter thats a perfect fit and does exactly what it was made to do.Recommended.

Excellent quality CPL filter at a reasonable price.
BESCHOI is a very decent brand when it comes to Camera filters. I have recently reviewed a Variable ND filter and I was happy to receive this CPL (Circular Polariser Filter) for review. I have used it on my Sigma 17-50 2.8 lens and I was very happy with the quick test results. I will be using this for my landscape photography especially for water ponds etc where reflection is a big problem. All CPL filters are made to reduce reflections, add contrast and saturate colour. I ordered 77mm CPL according to my lens but Beschoi filters are available in most common sizes. It was presented in a thin cardboard box and upon opening the box you will find a sturdy plastic filter container with a microfiber cleaning cloth inside. Container box is very well made to protect your filter when it is not on your lens. Filter thread is very well machined and it screws on and off very easily. CPL filter is essentially photography tool for capturing landscapes especially water and foliage. It can be used for sky, clouds etc but I am going to use it mainly for water. Glass it highly polished and has 30 layers of coating to minimise flare and ghosting.I am very happy with the product and would definitely recommend it. I will start using it soon when weather gets better here in UK.
