beginner friendly
This is a really good item for someone who just wants to do something simple, my daughter wanted one of her holes fixed because when she got them done when she was born they did it to high so I got this to fix it and it turned out great. it was easy to set up and use the only thing that I did have an issue with is after i did it the earing got stuck in the gun for a little I had to wiggle a tad bit thankfully she was older so it did not bother her but if it was a smaller child it might have been an issue. But all in all it was great I would get it again if I needed to.

Great product!
This is an excellent product for a great price. I purchased it for the piercing gun. It was the easiest piercing I've ever done with no pain at all. The piercing gun works flawlessly. However, I've used my own piercing earrings, which are made of surgical steel, because I've sensitive ears that tend to get infected if I use anything else. I was surprised by the pain level. I didn't feel anything during or after the procedure, with no burning. From now on, I will do my own piercings; it's really easy.

Works great and cheap!
This works great for ear lobe piercings. I wouldn't recommend for anything else but it does amazing for the ear lobe. I did three the day I got it. Comes with lots of pointed earrings and clear plastic backings plus some cute studs for when things are healed.

Easy to Use and Works Well, But Not Perfect
The piercing kit is simple to use and includes everything you need. It worked well for ear piercings, but a couple of the studs felt a bit loose. Still, it’s a good kit for beginners or home use.

Very functional and convenient
Pierced both of my ears with this and it didn’t hurt at all! The amount of jewelry it comes with is amazing as well!

It works wonderfully if you do this:
The reviews that state they got the gun stuck or that it moved the earring puncturing the wrong spot did this wrong: they didn’t secure the piercing earring in the hole. How do you fix this? You have to put dental wax or putty in the earring holder, just enough to get the earring to stick to the hole securely so it’s not loosely wobbling around in the holder, because obviously, it’s going to drop with gravity and slump down unless you cushion / fill the gap that’s around the stud when inside the notch/ holder slot. For the reviews that claimed to get an ear infection: I have a strong nickel allergy. I have to use titanium/gold/sterling silver earrings OR use Claire’s ear care solution daily after the shower if I’m wearing anything other than titanium/gold/silver. Read further on how I managed this.I would suggest iodine to clean your ears instead of alcohol, or use Claire’s ear care solution vigorously. Get the biggest bottle. Here’s my experience:Yes, I got an infection. Yes, I knew I would, and did it anyways for the sake of saving $200. Worth it? YES. Why? Because I’m broke and want piercings, and bc the body heals, always, and I knew I’d only have to wear the piercing earrings (that trigger my skin inflammation and infection) for a few weeks (3 1/2 in my case -while eating healthy and drinking lots of organic teas). I used Claire’s ear care solution religiously, 3 or more times per day, and didn’t touch my earrings, didn’t rotate them (until after 2 weeks). In the past, (years ago) I pierced my left helix two or three times prior, using a horrible stupid sewing needle method, and it developed a bump or something and I let it heal up.Here’s how I successfully pierced my ears:I played with the gun before hand, properly & thoroughly testing the dynamics and analyzing all aspects of what could possibly go wrong, I successfully rigged up a way to use dental wax to secure the stud in the gun to lock its position so when it was shot forward or shook slightly with my shaky hand, it wouldn’t budge or wobble. I fixed it so it could stand alone in the earring holder slot perfectly straight, not slanted in any angle, and it could tolerate a little shaking without moving. My ears swole from the low quality earrings, (NOT 100% HYPOALLERGENIC btw, but I knew this) and I was worried they’d get worse but they were fine just in time for me to swap them out with quality screw back earrings.During the time the cheap piercing earrings were in:-ears swole slightly, hurt when touched, were very red occasionally-felt like my skin/body was corroding the metal in my ears-used Claire’s ear stuff (all day long just about) and it ended the above symptoms-continued the above steps for 3.5 weeks-took out earrings and they looked as the pics above look: the earrings that are gross were the ones in my ears, the golden ones are the quality screw backs I replaced them with, and the silver shiny one is what the original piercing earrings looked like before (when they were brand new, unused). Hope this helps!

Be PATIENT and pay attention to what you're doing.
I will say, I had high hopes for this piercing gun. I opened it and noticed there were no actual backs for the piercing studs, which was a bummer. I pierced my daughters ears just fine, removed the studs to put in the actual earrings from the package right away with no problems. Next, I pierced my step daughters ears and we ran into the jamming issue I read about in other reviews. It jammed and the stud was stuck in the gun and to her ear. I was patient and pulled back on the trigger a bit to see if it would release it and it did. After this drama, I tried taking out the piercing stud to put earrings in her ears and the earrings wouldn't go through. We tried for about 20 min on both ears, resulting in having to pierce them a second time. It was a traumatizing experience for one of my daughters and fine for the other. Pay attention to the needle when you put it in the gun. It will angle down a tiny bit. Overall my daughters are happy with their piercings, but it was uncomfortable, to say the least.

Great Value and Easy to Use
I was a bit nervous about piercing at home, but this kit made the process so simple and stress-free. The ear piercing gun is sturdy and easy to handle, and everything came neatly packed and sterilized. It includes multiple stainless steel studs and even some cute crystal earrings, which is a nice bonus.I used this kit to pierce both my earlobes and a cartilage piercing, and it worked perfectly each time. The piercing was quick, and the gun operated smoothly with no pain beyond the initial pinch.
