Performance when it counts.
Great clamshell reel. Just like any reel. Rinse and clean after each trip. Great switch up from conventionals. Casts great. I use for trolling albacore / salmon to bottom bouncing for lings and small pacific halibut to 50# holds up great spooled with 80lb jerry brown braid and proteus WN 7’6 MH fast action rod. It is a very nice rig.

Good value
Good value at a good price for this reel. I have seen this price for much more both online and at tackle stores. Fast delivery. Due to fishing season closed at this time I have not had to chance to try it.

Purchased a Lexa for casting large baits for muskies. Casts smooth and long, backlash free. Reels in bucktails with double 10 blades effortless.

Great reel
Odd. I’m positive I already reviewed this. Well, I’ll do it again. Fantastic reel. I’ve always had nothing but good experiences with Daiwa products, this one is no exception, so far. I did pull it apart and gave everything a shot of grease, after reading several of the other reviews. Just to be sure.

Picked up this 5:1:1 and a 7:1:1. Great for throwing Iron on the Socal coast. Most reliable larger baitcaster short of the tranx as far as price.
