Nice quality , slightly smaller measurements
Nice wood for the price. Carves nicely, painting is nice as well.Only con is the wood is smaller than what is advertised, so measuring everything isn't even now.

Good wood finish could be better...
Wood carving is one of my favorite past times when it comes to woodworking, so always happy to try out new sources. And of course Basswood is the best for carving, so these will be used. The wood itself is good, looks like basswood and carves as it should. they are also good sizes. the only thing is they are kind of rough in many places, slight dents like from strapping and one edge was slightly sanded over. There is also some small tear out on the edges, so they could use a better cutting process. Most every one will carve these up, so that is probably not a big deal to any one. Just seems the quality control is not that good with this one.The wood is nice, if you are okay with the lack of quality control, would recommend.

great set of bass wood
great basswood. great grain with no tear out. easily able to cut into and in 3 2x2 " block variety of sizes in 4, 5, and 6 inch lengths.
