Does the job!
This gadget is almost too cute to use. But he does a great job with garlic. Very sturdy, easy to clean and sitting on my kitchen shelf, he's a great conversation starter!

Cute and actually useful!
Very easy to use, super cute garlic crusher.It doesn't handle large pieces of garlic, so either use smaller pieces or cut them before adding to Gracula.Depending on how many turns you make, you can have chopped to minced garlic.Hard to get all the garlic out, but firm tap from the bottom got most of the garlic out.Very easy to clean if you clean right away, just don't let the garlic dry.Overall Gracula didn't replace all other tools to prep garlic, but good addition to our kitchen.

I got this because I was tired of mincing garlic by hand, and the product is both cute and ironic.

Works, but needs a brush.
EDIT FOR SELLER RESPONSE:The seller contacted me and offered a refund, which was unexpected and very nice. Five stars for customer service.Also, it turns out a toothbrush doesn't quite do the job I was hoping for, so I am on the hunt for a narrow, stiff little brush to completely clear out all the garlic pieces. It's a work in process, but I Will bend this to my will.For months, I saw the wirecutter suggesting this as a great gift, and we go through A Lot of garlic, so when this went on sale, I bought one. So, it does do a good job of reducing several cloves at a time into small pieces very quickly. The issue I have is that then all the garlic pieces absolutely refuse to let go of both the top and bottom of the Gracula. I now have a dedicated Gracula brush. It's either that or be resigned to losing half of the garlic. The good news is that both halves rinse clean very easily. Bottom line: I'm keeping it, but it requires a brush of its own. Also, it does make me laugh.
